I have long hair dark brown hair down to the middle of my back at the longest point. At the front the length is just past my boobs because the front grows slower. It grows slowly and it's extremely fine and fragile. I have been growing it since 2013 and it was armpit length then. I really want to be blonde. After 1 head of highlights my hair was too damaged to do it again. My hair is oily at the roots and extremely dry all over the rest of my head. I have tried everything from sulphate free shampoos to only washing it with water. I have also tried protein treatments but these do nothing. My hair is also extremely wiry and frizzy. If I use a flat iron it feels smooth for a few hours then it feels like those wire dish scourers and it starts itching against my back and face. Heat protectant doesn't work. I have tried multiple ones and none of them actually do anything. I have tried deep conditioning it but moisture doesn't seem to stick to my hair apart from the roots, even if I use coconut oil. Shampoo of any kind just makes my hair wildly frizzy, dry and crunchy. I find myself just washing it with water and wearing it up all the time. I can never wear it down because it's just horrible. I just want long blonde pretty hair. My boyfriend likes blondes, and I feel upset and jealous when he admires women with long blonde pretty hair. My hair was horrible even when it was virgin hair. It was still very difficult to manage. It also tangles very easily and it gets thinner and thinner towards the ends. Does anyone else have a similar hair type and how do they make anything of it? I also plan to bleach it again at the salon within the next few months.
