Do you really think that there's a woman out there who doesn't know that being attractive is important, that she shouldn't sleep on the first date and so on? The strategy we use on RPW is something that's in our instincts (at least with some control).

In fact, I don't think that anyone who isn't a complete idiot can figure most of the stuff in their lives. Most of these things are simple and/or have been around in our culture for so long it's impossible not to know them.

The reason they don't get it is because they don't want to. There is no point in arguing or breaking their delusions. If they wanted to know they would know.

My 34yo roommate also had "bad luck" dating, because she doesn't know how to cook and sleeps with them early...until she saw me cooking for my boyfriend and observed how I treated him. Guess what, for her next boyfriend she decided to start cooking for him (although she's stopped already, 2 months in) and they're still dating instead her being pumped and dumped.

She could always see how I had a good relationship and would ask me little things about mine, and I would give her subtle hints (in a cheerful chirpy voice) like:

"What are you doing for his birthday?" "I'm making his favorite cake."

"You're so good at cooking for your boyfriend!" "Aww thanks, I like to take care of my loved ones."

"You're so lucky to find such a great guy!" "Yeah, we're both pretty family oriented so we're a good match."

"He just doesn't understand I want to advance my career." "Wow, I'm happy you feel so empowered and independent."

Most of the time I just feel sorry for how ignorant they are and unable to make good decisions, or at least are unable to see outside themselves.

Maybe invite them to this sub. Tell them it's helped your relationship. Dating is generally hard for much older women in any case because most men who are their age or older are already married. The pool of eligible bachelors who are 50+ is quite small. My MIL is 59 and she is currently trying to find a partner. She is very picky and won't even talk to men who are bald. She looks her age.

It's so hard to give advice without offending! I live alone, but my friends are kind of loopy sometimes... I try to lead by example and just ignore them whenever they're getting on my nerves, but yeah, that's a lot easier to do when you don't live with them

Tough thing about being a chick, other bitches won't just "give you respect" because you speak the Truth. In my experience, if a woman considers another chick on her level, of below her, and this chick is giving HER advice...Emotional Atom Bomb! lol

So you gotta ask yourself where she considers you on that scale. If she's older, it's almost always "below her", so you gotta realize that saying the Truth isn't necessarily gonna get this chick to change, so you're just beating you heads against the wall. No point in that.

I mean, if it's really bugging you, I would either come on here and just vent when shit gets too bad lol or TRY, dear God be careful tho, and sweetly, calmly hand feed JUST A TEA SPOON of RP shit here and there when she says those stupid fuckin lines about "how luck you are to have your SO", or the other under-handed shit women tend to say lol.

But don't go rocking the boat unless you got a backup plan. Women are fucking VINDICTIVE lol so who knows how far she'll take it if you damage her ego, then again, if she's legit cool like you said, maybe she won't take it to that extreme, just do what ya can ^{^}

Does anyone else here have this similar living experience? How do you deal with it? Do you just tell people what they need to hear, feelings be damned?

It's a conflict you need to start, if this bothers you this much. Just as you start 'Dear boyfriend/husband/whatever, stop leaving the toilet seat up.'

Put your warpaint and your wargear, and everything else you need. Then go pick a fight.
