I used to work with a young nurse who has alopecia and was fully bald! She was the sweetest, most lovely, kind and fun girl, and she was married too. You can totally keep your femininity whilst having some issues with your hair. I think try fresh pretty makeup, keep your skin and body weight healthy, and dress in styles that compliment your colouring and shape. xo

I would invest in some turbans and scarves in feminine prints. This is also a good way to protect your scalp from the sun in the summer. Show your ears when you wear headscarves and pair it with earrings.

You can even get a little ridiculous with volume.

You could take more plain prints and add lace on the edge.

Turbans are especially stylish with sunglasses.

You will also find that you actually have an opportunity to use brooches.

Try not to go too plain on your face.

If you don't wear makeup, earrings, or some other accent, you will look like a chemo patient if you're white.

This woman's hair is not showing, but she accents, so she looks like she worn the turban on purpose instead of as a consequence of cancer.

JLo sometimes wears turbans too. Using long fabric and tying it can create a feminine appearance.

You can also buy some turbans and scarves to hang out like hair.

Women love scarves, so once you get the hang of wrapping it you can find some affordable options for just a few dollars in pretty much any store.

Not bald but I had an ill-advised pixie cut for a while and still struggle with feeling feminine until my hair grows back out. I do it by making sure everything else is on point-- makeup, clothes, etc. Never go for a boyish look (which is hard for me, because I normally like a pretty casual boyfriend jeans and tee look). I might even do dresses and skirts 24/7 if that's something you can see doing. Leggings can be very feminine (I know some don't agree, but ever see a man in leggings? I haven't), with pretty tunics or blouses for work. Make the switch from jeans to maxi skirts if you like the full coverage.

That is rough! I think long, dangly earrings are a great way to look feminine with short or no hair :)

My mother went bald very early on (undiagnosed, untreated PCOS + consequences of PTSD). I do understand how difficult it is, mentally and physically.

I think dresses and skirts are always a safe bet: you don't mention what type of figure you have, but some 60s/vintage dresses are really feminine and make a wonderful, cinched waist, especially with some heels (even block heels or low heels will give you a nice sway). I personally never wear jeans cause I'm still too big and also cause I find it difficult to choose a flattering cut. If you pair them with heels and not flats it can be quite feminine though. Stay away from high waisted trousers, flat shoes and typical workout-like clothes.

You can also make sure to always have nice nails; to me it's THE feminine touch, along with earrings or a nice, sleek pendant. I'm also a big fan of handbags as I love how they just add a final touch of elegance to any outfit - and this is definitely THE feminine accessory :)

I wish I knew, I have the same issue which comes and goes, every time it falls out it's devastating to me but I know I'm very lucky that it grows back at all as for some it doesn't. I find that keeping in really good shape, eating well and exercising really helps both with feeling feminine and attractive as well as with my health. Also, as mentioned, good makeup and feminine clothing also helps. Nice hats in the summer help with outdoors with less stares and also protects your head from the sun x

I recommend wearing earrings that attract attention, either by color or size. I love seeing black women who did a big chop and regrowing their natural hair with big earrings, I think it looks very fashion forward. In addition, fake eyelashes always add a feminine touch to any look.
