Summary: Gaming millionaire's sexual indiscretions from the past come back to haunt him when she demands more hush money or she will publish allegations that will damage streaming website, Twitch. Body: It never seems to end. Dr Disrespect has been permanently suspended from Twitch. For those that don't know, Dr Disrespect dwarfs every other streamer on the platform in both viewer count and dollars brought in: from subscriptions and direct donations from viewers, multi-million dollar contracts with Twitch to keep him on their platform, sponsorship deals, and a TV show in the works. He stands at 6'8", 210 lbs., works out, and is genetically gifted with good looks. He is signed to CAA, a top-tier talent agency that has many of the biggest movie, music, and fashion icons in its roster. In late 2017, whether through temptation, desire, or being actively pursued, Dr Disrespect (who is married) reportedly slept with at least 4 different women, one of whom being another twitch streamer he had met at a convention. Afterward, he publicly apologized on broadcast for the indiscretions, and took a hiatus from his career to save his marriage, managing to reconcile with his wife, with whom he has a daughter. Later, he returned to streaming and rebuilt his brand, having lost all sponsorships and being constantly bombarded by white knights shitting on him for cheating. In the current day, Twitch has recently been forced to do damage control to combat a perception that they allow sexual harassment and other sexual crimes on the platform, pressured by the usual suspects. The female twitch streamer who Dr Disrespect had banged has allegedly demanded that Twitch give her more hush money or she threatens to go public with proof of some sort of allegation against Dr Disrespect. Now, it's unclear what the substance of that allegation is, but I think we can be fairly sure it's some accusation of assault/manipulation/molestation/hurt feelings. Caught between potentially endless demands for more money from the blackmailer and potentially losing advertisers due to being perceived as harboring a sexual predator, Twitch chose to permanently suspend Dr Disrespect from the platform, ritually sacrificing their golden goose.

Officially, Twitch has stated that the banning has occurred due to vague violations of site rules and are trying to figure out a way to word an official press release, but unofficial sources are more specific (http://archive.vn/wip/OvTNr). So, 2.5 years after having gone through hell and almost getting destroyed, the chick he slept with sees an almost endless opportunity to profit from her fling and tries to cash in her chips, ironically destroying all her leverage in the process. Dr Disrespect may never actually recover, given that Mixer, another streaming platform, is now closing soon: Twitch has a defacto monopoly on the streaming market. If she does decide to prosecute a case against him, he can easily spend a small fortune in legal fees defending himself. It remains to be seen how much of this will stick, whether Twitch will walk this back at all, or whether Dr Disrespect can even recover from this, this time.

Conclusion: Regardless, despite there seeming to be much bigger fish to fry given all of the problems dominating the news, there is still a very large risk of character assassination through #MeToo accusations. Even if completely exonerated in court, these witch trials will string you up and lynch you in the court of public opinion, whether rightly or wrongly. Protect yourself from these kinds of accusations by not mixing your business with pleasure, always word any recorded communications in a way that can't be construed negatively by bad actors (or just use it for logistics), record/save evidence of consent and good relations with sex partners, vet sex partners for signs of red flags, use a condom, and don't let your dick do your thinking for you. This is easily a life-changing loss in income and a life-destroying potential result all for a little bit of sexual pleasure. This kind of stuff can haunt you years after the deed, so all sexual encounters should be considered for the long game.
