I always understood white knight to be when a guys tries to "save" a woman from things she isn't in danger from or are her own fault/responsibility. For example, doing a woman's work for her at work, or when a woman is being immature and her boyfriend isn't having so her white knight swoops in to "save" her from him.

If someone is in physical danger, whether it be man woman or child, you should help if you can but you should still look out for your own safety. If I'm walking down the street at night and I see a woman getting mugged by two guys with weapons I can feel for her, but I'm out. Don't be walking around in alleys at night alone dummy. If it's one of those situations where a guy in a crowd tries to grab a purse and run he better not be running in my direction or else I'm going be getting some takedown practice in.

If she is your woman then it is your responsibility to protect her but if she was a total stranger... I'll just look the other way and move on; no gain in getting hurt because of a zero to slim chance of getting pussy afterwards because she doesnt owe you that for saving her IMHO

This heavily depends on the situation.

I am not willing to put my life at stake for a complete stranger, no matter what gender.

I will call the police everytime, but if there is four guys at work that is all 'I am going to do.

The only thing I am setting myself up for by jumping in, is getting seriously harmed or even killed. Not gonna happen for some random person. I feel for them, I pity them, but I love myself more.

The problem in the West is that people have forgotten how fucked up humans in general are and what they are capable of doing and they feel much too save in those situations. They've seen it in the news, but they don't believe it. Every confrontation on the streets should be handled as being potentially life ending for yourself. Unless you are willing to die for the other person, you should not intervene in any other way than getting help. With the exception of concealed carry and you being able to use the gun and also willing to kill somebody without too much struggle.

Someone serving in the military is not a white knight, but an idiot by the way. There is nothing heroic or whatever in whoring your body away and going overseas to kill some strangers wearing bed sheets for the goals of some elites. If you fall the for patriotic bullshit and get killed or crippled over it, you are just retarded and you don't deserve better in my opinion.

Is it worth getting into a fight to protect some random girl who's being attack? I think there is a bona fide protector role and a white knight. An example would be what happened to me last night. I was trying to get up to the bar to order a drink. A girl was in my way, I took my hand to her ass and nudged her aside because the place was loud as fuck. She showed some indignation and scolded me for doing that. I didn't apologize, just listened, and then said "you should buy me a drink" and she smiled and agreed. She bought me a beer. I decided I wasn't going to follow up with her or anything and she went back to her group of friends. I see her telling them that I touched her ass and the other friend comes over and scolds me. When the other girls found out she also bought me a beer they had a melt down. The girl smacks my face and says give me the beer back. I take a swig and put down on the bar. Eventually she take its bcak. Then I see her talking to some shorts dude and he starts glaring at me, getting furious, trying to give me looks. I tell my friend watch this, this guy is going to try to stand up for this random girl he just met, so I just stay and wait to see how this develops. Anyway, all he does he basically slam his empty beer glass down on a stool near me. Then for the next 30 minutes she regulates him to orbiter all the while complaining about me blah blah blah...that's white knighting/emotional tampon/orbiter dynamic.

If it was his girls and I grabbed her ass hard in front of him, he has no choice but to step to me, that's being a fucking man.

I agree with you on protecting a woman who's with you, who you care about and has done nothing wrong. Yet, just the other night I witnessed something related that I want to share.

This guy on the street was yelling at a girl who I assume was/had been his girlfriend. Apparently she was cheating on him or just branch swinged and he happened to have found out. He was shaming her publicly, kicked her travel bag and insulted her.

I thought: I could stop this, but why would I defend a random woman I don't know, who most likely got it coming? Most men don't just randomly hit women. Just like women play their psychological strengths on men, men should be able to play their physical strengths on women. Laws are heavily skewed towards women because it's a lot harder to prove psychological violence or dishonesty than it is a black eye. Plus, women can more easily play the victim card in any situation, be it physical or mental and earn sympathy that reverses the blame or alleviates their sentences. They think they can get away with disrespect and deceit because let's face it, they usually can.

Women are the original devil's advocate and I have no sympathy for that.

I wasn't able to read the post, but I'll say one thing.

There are some situations in life as a man that, if you don't take action, you will hate yourself and question your masculinity. If you won't protect women from real harm, who are the only ones that can give birth to a MAN, then to me... you are a pussy hiding behind ideologies.

If I see a woman being raped by a group of men. Would I be shitting bricks? definitely. Will I do something about it anyways? Absolutely.

Might just be me though. I've always protected men and women who needed it. Even when I was a little kid I'd fight to defend my brothers and sisters who were 6+ years older than me while they just stood back.

I think many men just don't have "that" in them.
