I was asked to do an AMA after I made this comment on another thread (I'd link to the thread itself, but, you know, the AutoModerator bot, check my recent post history if you want to see the context):

I'm a gay guy with probably 50/50 split in my cognitive orientation. But here's the thing, on any day I function with my "male" brain I find it very hard to use my "female" brain, and vice-versa. The two modes of cognition are entirely mutually exclusive.

I later added the following in a response:

It's interesting to observe from inside after having studied MR/TRP for several years. I tend to keep the female-brain at home and expose it only to my partner (who has his own cognitive dichotomy, but it's distributed very differently because his work is less masculinely oriented than my STEM job). My partner has mentioned that I become noticeably colder to him when I'm in work-mode, so much so that from the way I answer the phone he can tell how deeply engaged I am in my work (or debating on Reddit). "Hi." "Oh, you're working. I'll call you back later."

A little more about me: 47 years old man, partnered to a 53 year old man, been active on MR and RP blogs for about 4 years (under various usernames, which I change out from time-to-time to avoid doxxing). I was raised by a feminist single mother and "came out" at the age of 17. Over my life I've had a wide variety of experiences that validate RP theories, although among gay men they manifest in unpredictable ways, since it is possible to experience male-oriented "game", polygamy, hypergamy, and AF/BB operating all in the same brain.

I'll add to the mix another thread (again check my post history) where I discuss my very conflicted support of gay marriage; the reluctance to fully support gay marriage stems from an understanding of the purpose of marriage in traditional societies. The underlying philosophy is articulated well by Dalrock, so it is also a fair topic for TRP and potentially of interest in this AMA as well.

I'll answer questions as quickly as I can, but I may be delayed in some of my answers, as I have family visiting and some also time-consuming responsibilities coming up in the near future.
