Hello everyone. This is my first post here (and also my first post on reddit). I’m 21 years old and I discovered TRP about 3 months ago, but it's only now that I've finally decided that I really want to change my life and have control over it instead of vaguely adopting one concept or another and feeling miserable again after a few days. In addition, I think it’s important, especially at this early stage, to have someone to hold me accountable. I’d like to start by thanking everyone for the creation of this excellent community.

Positive

I went to the gym 4 times. I’ve been going regularly since I discovered this subreddit (in September) but it’s only now that I’ve made the transition from the exercises I did in weight machines to dumbbells and weight bars. My gym has the advantage of offering physical evaluations every 3 months and adapting the training plan taking into account the personal results. Since I started going there, I increased 4lbs of muscle mass. It’s not much, but I will continue to strive - I’ll soon stop being a skinny fuck.
For Christmas I received books that I’ve seen being recommended around here, such as Meditations (Marcus Aurelius). I'm going to start reading them and hopefully they can help me on this journey.
I had sex 3 times with my girlfriend. We set the goal to fuck even more often in 2018, so that should be fun.
Read a lot of posts in here that are helping me rebuild myself.

Negative

I’ve had a hard time dealing with the guilt of things I’ve done in the past. This is probably my biggest problem, and I spend a lot of time obsessed with it and stuck in circular thoughts about how I am a horrible person and what I should’ve done differently. I’ll continue to try to move on and accept that I can’t change what has already happened. I know, I need to stop being a weak pussy.
Because of the feelings I described in the last paragraph, I couldn’t focus and start writing any of the assignments I’ve to for my MA (the deadline is mid-January). Besides, I'm still deciding whether I should continue this degree or whether I should leave and look for work.
I still couldn’t fully learn how to stop caring about what others think of me. I’ll keep trying.

Pros-

Gym everyday 2 hours per day 200lbs ~12% bodyfat @ 5’8 Debt free Enjoying break from school Diet on point. 6000 calories per day bulk Building good credit score 225x3 shoulder press Have gone my whole life without alcohol or smoking, my body loves me. Love seeing people’s reactions when I tell them I never drank nor do I plan on it

Cons-

Sleep could be better. I stay up to get those calories in and I work full time

A girl I knew for a few years hooked up with me for the first time. She tells me “Isn’t this a little weird? I’ve liked you since sophomore year when we sat together in class”

She was confused as to why I hadn’t acted on my impulses sooner.

Just a reminder that girls speak covertly and in their minds they’re sending tons of signals. I was a habitual beta orbiter then, but I learned over my time in the community that if I wanted something (something I knew I deserved too), I should just go out and get it until proven I couldn’t. Those signals were there but I wouldn’t believe in them because I felt they were so subtle.

The value of existing in a frame where you believe she’s already into you, can often be more than a story you tell yourself, and more of a reality. But it takes existing in that frame to find out that it is the regard people held you in to begin with. (Lol she said she liked me bc she thought I was a “bad boy”)

In 30mins I'm starting to warm up squats. Today is a personal "meet" day in the gym to close off 2017 with new PRs.

I'm nervous as fuck, shaking already thinking about the heavy third attempts. 10 weeks on a taper/peaking program I know my body can do it, I trained for it, lifted 96% of the weights already on the movements, it's the mental aspect of adding the 4% for an all time max PR. . Heavy weights at 1RM are such mental obstacles. I'd appreciate some cheerleading since ill be in there by myself and I'll feel warm and fuzzy knowing you guys are rooting for me, nobody at work or such gives a shit or appreciates heavy lifting.

Fuck that barbell.

Positives

Sleeping pattern is on the good side now.
Sidebar reading is becoming habitual, almost half-way through the 'Theory Reading' section.
Started getting back into a few of my hobbies and am spending a while on them everyday.
Had a great christmas with family and am eager to continue improving in the new year.

Negatives

Not drinking enough water.
Still watching porn...
Haven't been gym in a while due to moving back home for the holidays (Already spent money on current membership).
Haven't been eating healthy.
Haven't posted here in 3 weeks (had to break the negative streak before it became a bad habit).

My focus for the coming week

Carry on engaging with hobbies.

YEAR IN REVIEW

FITNESS:

Added 5,5 cm (2.2 inches) to my arms.

Bodyweight increased 6kg to 86kg.

Arms and Shoulders are Significantly bigger.

Increased Benchpress 12,5kg to 112,5kg. Pause Bench increased even more to 110kg. probably could TAG bench even more.

Increased Squat 31kg to 161kg. again very solid and probably could squat more.

Increased Deadlift 25kg to 210kg.

SOCIAL:

Immeasurable more IOIs from strangers. At times, the amount of IOIs is unreal.

Honestly, social progress is not as quick as I'd like. I get it, I'm letting too many opportunities slip away. That's unacceptable. I will improve.

One thing with one girl. That's at least progress from last year.

I do feel progress in body language and general attitude. increased confidence.

EDUCATION:

Not much to comment on. Things are just going good I feel. not to much stress

OTHER:

Chess skills SIGNIFIGANTLY BETTER. Rapid rating from 1528 --> 1725+

New interest: Fashion, especially sneakers.

Small improvement in other skills.

Finally had a "perfect week" in terms of getting in shape. Lifted 3 times. Cardio everyday. Didn't spend any money on going out for food. Only sin was a few drinks last night at the local bar with some friends but I still stayed under my daily calorie limit.

Been 3 months since I've had soda or coffee as well. Goal for this summer is to reveal the 8 pack that I used to have 2 years ago but lost due to bad diet.

I am pretty new to TRP. I've made some progress but very little; I find that I have, for the most part, learned too much theory without ever putting it into practice. This new year, and specifically this new month, I am setting the goal to stop reading so much, get off my desk, and go out there and talk to people. I can read all I want but I'll never get better unless I go practice.

(This is my first time posting on this type of thread but I thought it'd be interesting to track my progress, subjectively)

Fitness:

I jogged 4 times this week. It was more of a relaxing activity than for fitness, so I didn't have any PRs or improvements. I can't complain too much here.
I'm struggling to motivate myself to lift. It's just not something I've done and I see so little progress in my upper-body lifts.
Ordered headphones after Christmas to help ignore people in gym. It works.

Food:

I've been shying away from the food of the festivities but I've had some type of chocolate-thing since the 23rd of December. It fits into my macros/calories but I hate that I'm taking away space from healthy food for unhealthy food.
I've started taking some supplements and protein powder. Recovery is a lot faster.
I'm trying to give up diet Pepsi. This is hard.

Personal Improvements:

I finally moved my furniture around and installed the portable air-con. I've been postponing this for 2 months. I intend to clean my closets and remove ugly clothing next.
I spent NYE with some old acquaintances. It wasn't too bad.
I did not spend enough time on learning German and my programming project because of work. I am finally off work so I must practice more.
On top of skincare and haircare. Received lots of compliments on hair in NYE party.

Been lifting for 67 days straight.

Lifting goals for February 1: Overhead 125 3x8 Close Grip 160 3x8 Bench Press 225 1x4 Pendlay Row 185 3x8 Deadlift 275 3x8 200 average morning weight (bulking)

These lifting goals are quite difficult, if I can get them all completed I’ll be a happy man!

Achievements in December:

Got a girls number while working, 18 years of age. Was able to entertain her and her friends for about an hour. Hopefully we smash by Saturday night.
Flirted with my hottest coworker
Tested my SMV by convincing two male coworkers I’ve slept with 30 different girls.

-Started the New Year off with a house party I was invited to in the big city I reside in

-Did HIIT exercises everyday since I had no access to a gym

• Been improving in my mandarin speaking and writing ability because of a good new teacher who has been holding me accountable for my learning and progress.

• Been searching for new jobs, right now I work retail. And although only one job I have applied for it felt good to take that step, need to work on progressing there more, much room for improvement.

• Been actively putting myself out there in social situations to improve my social skills/interpersonal communication skills.

• Been on NoFap for 12 days strong, feeling more motivated and energetic because of it

• Learning to program in python, as a result, for every python lesson I learn I have a younger friend who I teach it to, that way it reinforces my knowledge of the language.

• Been grooming myself more, shaving, brushing hair, brushing teeth, flossing, lotion, and the like.

Gymming regularly, but taking this (last) vacation as a bit of reprieve before adult life kicks in. Will have to negotiate a settlement with a venture's partners that lets me get a job, in addition to getting my share of profit in the venture. Tinder-ed for 4+ days, even have a couple of spare likes, but still no go on any matches (I only swipe right on profiles with 1+pictures that have a bio). Thinking about Tinder Gold, but damn it if I'm that desperate. Reading (or listening) to Rollo's Rational Male book, but haven't made too much headway. Nofap journey went bust 1 week into it, but started again. I am making very little headway into getting my sleep schedule on track, so that's a biggie.
