Cry for attention? Most likely.

But I could see her actually doing it. We dated for 2 years and she is not the most stable person. She is on anti-depressants and, according to her text, they aren't working.

She cheated on me. I said to never talk to me again, that I hated her, and that she is a burden to everyone she knows.

I said it out of anger (stupid me) and I fear that it could bite me in the ass if she swallows a bullet.

I don't want to be held accountable to this girl.

I responded by saying "Get professional help."

I will not respond to anymore texts.

In order to prevent myself from being in some sort of legal fiasco, should I contact the police or something?

In a situation like this, how accountable is someone in my position? I don't know if she told anyone else about her suicidal thoughts.

Any help would be appreciated and if anything needs more clarification, I will do so.

Thanks.

UPDATE Contacted the campus police. They are going to go by her apartment and check up on her. They said I will be contacted later today with an update on what happens. I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks a bunch.
