Summary: Talking about some of the barriers that come with age as you get older as a man. The sacrifices you would have to make if you're raising your SMV and how you might not get what you wanted when you started. My thread is exclusive to a lot of Americans.

About growing older:

I find the social scene here in the United States to be somewhat of a cruel joke. It is in high school and college when you're thrown into a situation with people around your age who have some things in common with you that you're at a time when social life is handed to you on a silver platter. You will never be around as many single and available women who are open to hooking up and just "experimenting" in your life. One thing they don't tell you is that kids this age are just as shallow as people you will find else where, so if you were not one of the "cool kids" then you probably didn't get to enjoy the nice parties and hook ups with hot girls during that stage of your life.

But you said whatever, fuck it. You will spend these years lifting, working on your future, and doing all you can to make yourself a more appealing option to the opposite sex and more respected by society. So what if the popular kids in high school or the Greek Life in college didn't invite you to their nice parties, you'll work hard now and show them who's boss later when you live your baller lifestyle, RIGHT?

You'll never get married! You'll never have kids! That's for lame adults, you're going to Dan Bilzerian this thing!

You finally graduate in your early 20s (or a bit later for some) and you have at the very least a good 10 years left before you start to get "older", time to live the life you were denied right? But wait, that's right, you're not in school anymore! You're in the big bad real world!!

The people are not that open to making new friends, partying is so "immature", attractive and single women who are open to sleeping around are harder to find, you have responsibilities now, not as much free time, and being lonely is almost inevitable. If that wasn't bad enough, the few decent friends you did have were too scared of this and decided to get married.

It's lonely as you get older. People your age who leave college become jaded dickheads who aren't open to making new friends and they are all looking to go the traditional route, getting married and having kids. You feel Uncle Sam breathing down your neck and telling you that you should get married now.

He's telling you to give up that dream you had of being a 30 year old who has threesomes with HB9s, pool parties with hot girls, and other cool alpha friends to enjoy the fruits of your labor with. No, give it all up. Earn some damn cash and marry her already. So what if she slept with 20+ guys in college, has hit the wall already, and is only into you for stability? Do you have any better alternative motherfucker? What ya gonna do? Rot away alone?

People left and right of you are getting married and starting families already and here you are being a man child. Everyone already made their friends in college, no one wants to make friends after it. Your work consumes so much of your time and you longer had the free time you had in college. All those fantasies you had of wild parties when you're grown up and with money? Oh stop being so immature! Grow up already! The years pass by as you get older, and you hit 30.

People are making their friends as couples and through their spouses and kids, no place for a random bachelor.

Then you sit there at night all alone with some cash in the bank and you can probably buy all the shit you ever wanted as a college student, you probably bought it too. The nice car, a nice pad, and the ability to get all the material possessions you ever wanted but dammit you're still lonely. Still hard to make new friends and getting a social life is a pain in the ass now, everyone is too old to enjoy life and the fun times it brings. Damn, getting married seems like a pretty good idea by now right? You can't take it, being lonely sucks even when you have the material possessions. You wish that you had some friends to hang out and enjoy it and some women in your group impressed by this shit, don't lie, deep down inside you know you do.

Man, if only there were others out there like me so we could meet up and enjoy this shit together.

Most other people have started a family already and Uncle Sam breathes down your neck again. The sluts and douchebags who never invited you to their nice parties in college are laughing at your attempt to outdo them, your foolish attempt at a revenge fantasy. Marriage is seeming like a pretty good idea right now.

Think that was harsh? Well young bachelor, wait until you hit your 30s as a bachelor and see how it hits you. Think you have what it takes?

Lessons learned:

If you want to be that bachelor, you better be strong on the inside because society will throw everything at you to get you to commit!
