Handsome=Traditional good looks with respectability

Hot=Good looks only

Grey's anatomy "McDreamy" vs "McSteamy". I have always taken Handsome to imply a more marriage quality. Whereas Hot has more a ONS quality.

From my experiences be careful if women call you handsome. They will have better behavior around you. You present that stoic rock like presence, I call classical Alpha frame. This can lead to a false sense of reality as women WILL alter their behavior around you. Hence, you may be more prone to believing in unicorns.

I think handsome stands for taking well care of yourself, dressing very well and all that external stuff. But hot is what makes them ting such as being ripped, acting masculine and having a deep, commanding voice tone (a.k.a packing TESTOSTERONE).

Handsome might mean symphaty for a woman, she might not consider sleeping with you if your game is not good. But on the other hand, hot means the valves of her ladyparts are wide open.

Btw OP, it is very rare that you will hear woman calling you hot, they rather call you hot when they are in a female-only gossip-fest.

It depends on the region but in general handsome is better than cute, but not that much. It still indicates you are physically attractive but are lacking something to activate the tingles, which is hot.

I think girls use handsome when you look mature, older, always in control, clean cut, stable yet extremely interesting, where hot could be more exhilarating, specific to that girls interests, wild, and outgoing. I don't know what kind of image you're trying to go for but it's definitely not a negative thing to be called handsome instead of hot.

Handsome is an older term. No one ever refers to the ripped guys on the beach as handsome. Handsome is the gentleman caller. I suspect there was a time where handsome meant what we now refer to as hot. But today I think it's more of a tell as to a woman's intent.

The guy she wants to fuck is hot. The guy she wants to introduce to her parents is handsome.

It doesn't matter. If you're receiving compliments or women are gossipping about your looks, you are fuckable to an appreciable amount of women. All you need is not to close the door with beta-antigame.

With that said, in my experience, handsome (and cute) tends to refer to someone with good looking facial aesthetics, and hot emphasizes [muscular] body and dominant behavior more.

In any case, if you've hit the threshold where people readily talk about your looks, you're in good shape. Keep improving in all aspects and you'll have plenty of pussy to sample.

Often times the three are interchangeable. They mean basically the same thing. Only maybe with slightly different variations depending on context.

Historically they may mean different things but its the context and relative 'slang' used by the individual. Generally cute and hot tend to be the modern ways of girls/women expressing attraction. Again often interchangeable. Handsome tends to be a more formal expression by older women.

Overall...hard to tell. Probably not something to get to worked up over.

Always assumed that it's just regional/cultural language patterns. Young college girls on the coasts might use "hot" more, while maybe older girls living somewhere else might use "handsome" more.

I don't know the exact demographics, but basically it has more to do with the girl's background than anything about you. Context and body language matter far more than specific words.

If a girl is complimenting you like this, it's a good thing. I've fucked girls that have called me cute, hot, handsome, gorgeous, perfect, etc.

They're pretty much all interchangeable, it just depends on the girl you're dealing with.

I'd consider it analogous to calling a woman "hot" or "beautiful". Hot is "I am attracted to you". Handsome is "you are attractive". Attractive people can be compared in a Venn diagram; some are one or the other, some are both. Just don't get called "cute".

Hot = she wants to fuck

Handsome = You have high SMV, perhaps even dress well, but you don't give her gina tingles.

I can see a lot of women dating/marrying "handsome" men like this, but quickly regressing into occasional duty sex if the guy lets himself go in any way, shape, or form.

In many cases I'd wager it breaks down into AF/BB. In past generations handsome may have been synonymous with hot or whatever, but no longer because of the obesity epidemic also making men fatter, and women's expectations having been raised to such unrealistic levels AND they fuck so many guys who are hot that they'll almost always have an alpha on their mind to compare the handsome guys to. See also: women's falling happiness levels and less relationship satisfaction the more partners they have.

Handsome is generally used for average joes who are clean looking. Hot is for the guys that look exceptionally good.
