When guys approach girls, when girls talk with girls, and often when people talk to each other, most of the times they discuss irrelevant topics of no interest at all and the conversations are empty in every way. However they have tons of fun with it.

I am a nerd person, so I can't enjoy an empty and pointless conversation, usually conversations about the last football game, the reality show, and other stuff I don't mess with because I find them worthless of my time.

This however has lead to some nasty side effects. 1) I cannot create empathy with anyone who doesn't share exactly the same topic interests as I do, which is mostly science and technology, so most of my friends are nerds or workaholics. 2) The remaining people only come to me when they want or need to talk about technical, non futile subjects.

So I am not the type of guy to hang out with, to have fun with, have a beer (don't like beers), etc. I am the type of guy that is only approached when people need me...

This also affects dating because girls love futile conversations. Conversations that lead nowhere but are enjoyable of having. If you hear normal people talk, most of the times they say nothing of worth but they have fun doing it. I can't master this technique. Thus it is hard for me to know new people, because I can't come up with conversation topics out of nowhere which are not technical and boring to most people.

How can I overcome this? How can I create a futile topic out of nowhere and with it create an interesting conversation, namely to approach girls that I don't even know.

The master of all the examples is the weather chatting, people can squeeze so much like 15 minutes just talking about the weather today. Dafuq?! But this seems to approach people, so in the end is not the topic itself that matters, is the way you develop a conversation, expression, body language, tone of voice, showing your full interest, making jokes. I can't do that, I am a dry person. I can't start a conversation with a stranger without a good topic to discuss...

How can I master the art of doing everything with nothing?

I am not able to have what is understood as a "normal" conversation.
