You're not going to like the answer, but there's certain situations where your optimal route will lose you some primal attraction from your girl.
Yes, her pussy would have gotten wet if you'd gone outside, whipped their asses, then gone back in. But A) that's not doable, they'd probably gang up on you and fuck up your shit real quick, and B) you'd end the night in jail. You don't gotta be black to catch phony charge and/or bullet from some hometown buttbuddy cops.
So you have to do what's logical and trust that you take the hit to your manly pride and her pussy moisture levels.
It doesn't fucking matter, you can get that back. I'm not going to lie and tell you that no part of her might think you acted like a punk. I'm going to tell you it doesn't matter, and if you don't give a shit what she thinks, then you'll be fine, you'll regain it.
The problem was you didn't deal with the initial bitch right. Your vocal tone must have been soft, she didn't take you seriously, she didn't understand no from you. Because you were unsure of what to do in that situation and yes, you tried to pick the alpha option, but she could feel it wasn't rooted in any real force. There's a couple ways you could have handled that - either tell her firmly no these are my friends chairs, here let me take these off your hands. Or you could have from the get go been chill and messed with her. "Go buy me a drink and you can have them, etc". Because one alpha approach is to not give a shit - they are chairs, you're at a bar to have fun, have fun with her and don't get all immediately hostile.
I have dealt with a shit ton of line-cutting type behavior from hot chicks so I get this kind of thing a lot. Especially at concerts, these late hoes think they can squeeze the seats you waited hours for. If there hot, I'll put my arm around them and just say "hey Christine right, whats up, you're apparently part of our group, so we might as well catch up." Act like were old friends and it's 50/50 if they fuck back off or play along for a bit. Or if they are ugly or more annoying than hot, I just say you can cut the dude behind me that's his problem but not me, and I'll stand in front and block their view. Or I'll try to take their drink if they want to stay. Generally I keep it fun, but the trick is if you have to put her in her place, you have to project your voice through her like Daddy did when she acted up.
Just pierce her, pretend you're speaking to her 10 yards away.
The problem was that after you couldn't assert authority over a chick, no man, even a beta, can let you assert any type of authority over them. Don't argue with the dudes, nothing you say no matter how right it is will let their pride not fight back. They can't look like a bitch now, they are in too deep.
That's why I'd not argue with the other guys. Either take the chairs back with a smirk and tell her nice try (and don't even recognize whatever the peanut gallery says) or go get a nearby chair - because at that point, you should have recognized there's no point to arguing with her whole group. "You know what, take the chairs, that's my gift to you for your service, you guys sure got it rough. Long hours, hope their at least paying you well. You guys enjoy your night." Deliver it with pity, with that face you make when you're taking a shit, like you feel so bad about their overall lives. Stress the word 'service.'
As for your girl, you have to realize that she doesn't care about the situation, she cares about how you react to the situation. If you are ducked down feeling embarassed like a bitch muttering about how they are assholes, then yeah, she'll be like "wow my guy just got put in his place." You can't show that it bothered you, you can't show that your night was impacted.
[–]AttackOnKvothe26 points27 points28 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
wow my guy just got put in his place.
That's what I hate most about this society we live in.
You can't properly say " a person got put in his place" because you never know who might be a psycho who pulls out a gun out of nowhere and starts shooting them clips.
People just assume the laws of alpha and beta, but what people don't realize and what people have right under their noses is the irregulars.
Look at all those islamic terrorists, at all those school shooters. Beta who got fed up and took the "alphas" down with them.
In the end, we all die the same. I don't understand how people can be so stupid as to just start shit with one another just for a bunch of chairs, when it can end awkwardly at best, and horribly violent at worst.
Hell is truly the others, as Sartre said.

There is always one guy that will gun you down for a drink without blinking twice...
Btw, could I get the reference to that last quote?
[–]Alex20866 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Exit
Jean Paul Sartre - "L'Enfer, c'est les autres" [Hell is other people].
[–]AttackOnKvothe3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Jean Paul Sartre said something along the lines "What a joke. You don't nee fire, sulphur and grills: Hell is the others”" or something along those lines.
EDIT: 2 links which explain the subject:
http://www.the-philosophy.com/sartre-hell-is-other-people
https://www.quora.com/What-did-Jean-Paul-Sartre-mean-when-he-said-Hell-is-other-people
EDIT 2:
When Sartre said “hell is other people” he noted that we cannot really know ourselves without taking into consideration how we are regarded by others.
An anon commented this phrase in one of the blogs, I think it's a very good phrase.
[–]idiedlongago1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
very interesting quote from a really intriguing Play, wonder how he came up with that.
I've actually started reading through the Play ( well the Translation), so the additional links really help with understanding it a bit more.
Also, I agree, that's a well spot on Phrase, definitly something to consider.
Thanks man, really helpful.
[–]feminists_are_dumb1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Except that everyone misinterprets it. It doesn't mean that everyone else sucks. It means that other people reflect back at you your own shittiness. So if you hate being around other people in general, it's because YOU suck. That's not my opinion either. Sartre explicitly said so in interviews about the play. The second answer of your second link is a pretty good summary of what he meant.

Nice NE quote there. Also all around good advice.
[–]imhappyforyou1238 points9 points10 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is really good advice
[–]RedEyesBlueShades9 points10 points11 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Overall fantastic advice, seriously love it. But this
is pure gold. Cannot overstate how important this is. (You should write a post on this.)
I've occasionally done some really embarrassing shit, say spill the drink all over. But my reaction always saved it, start wiping the drink, call the barista for help, and keep chatting like nothing happened. And order another drink. Always saved the situation big time.

No female is ever worth jail.
[–]covertpenguin33902 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This right here. You win some, you lose some, and I would dry up my girls pussy any day over fighting fucking cops lol he hits the nail on the head, you could've handled the situation much better to basically spin it against them while still giving up the chairs. I'm a brand new military pilot and had the army pay for all my college too and the amount of fights I've backed down from are too many to count because of what a criminal charge (especially involving alcohol) would've done to me. It's gay, it sucks, but remember at the end of the day no pussy is worth physically fighting over. Only in real self defense situations.
[–]feminists_are_dumb-2 points-1 points0 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Physically restrain the chair from moving. Don't touch her, so that other douchebags can't complain. But if you say "No" to her moving the chair, do not let her move the chair under any circumstance. It's honestly better to act like a child and just sit in each chair as she tries to move it than to let her get away with being a bitch.
[–]1DetectiveDing-Daaahh13 points14 points15 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Good move not further escalating. Cops tend to be some of the biggest white knights out there. Take comfort in the fact that their work uniforms aren't the only thing 'blue' about them.

Yep, there is a reason they choose that job
[–]Eastuss14 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Basic bully shit test that you failed.
Next time, you smile and tell that person that what she's doing is weird/wrong/stupid in a polite maner, then quickly ignore her because you cant loose your time talking with stupid.
Being pissed or angry is failing.
[–]bobjoe1777 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
buddy of mine had this happen a couple of years ago, he was a well trained mma fighter. He cold cocked the cop on the spot, busted the guys nose, out cold. Probably felt awsome for 15 seconds or so. The cop proceeded to follow him around harrassing him pulling him out of his car, got him fired from his job, showing up outside his house, etc for months afterwards. He had to get a job in the next town over- it was fucked. Completely not worth it.
[–]BlasphemousAgenda14 points15 points16 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
You punked yourself with "I'm just trying to be an adult here" that makes you sound like you need to justify yourself. It's also insulting because you're insinuating that you're an adult and she isn't. Never insult a women in the presence of her men. The sharks smelled the blood in the water. Their isn't much you can do to regain your status after such an error.
If you really wanted those chairs you could have said "excuse me" to the women as she is taking them, get close to her so only she can hear you, and reaffirm that the chairs are taken. Then shift her focus to any open chairs nearby. Isolating people is key for conflict resolution. Everyone is more of an asshole in a mob. Cut her off from her mob and your chances of winning go up exponentially.
[–]Aeronautix points points points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
i said that to the guy while trying to deescalate, fumbling with words a bit too. Still think your point holds. It seemed like a plea or something, didn't help anything for sure.
Also she brazenly did this within arms reach of her group, pretty sure she wanted the drama
[–]BlasphemousAgenda14 points15 points16 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah if you can't isolate them from their group you're kinda fucked, because being in a group emboldens everyone in it and it's nearly impossible for an individuals frame to stand up to such strength.
These are the laws you violated btw.
Law 9: Win through your Actions, Never through Argument (you couldn't win through action so you should have let it go. Arguing and justifying yourself made it worse).
Law 22: Use the Surrender Tactic: Transform Weakness into Power When you are weaker, never fight for honor’s sake; choose surrender instead. (You vs group = you lose almost every time. Surrender the chairs and avoid total destruction).
man.. i wish i had this kind of commentary in all my social interactions. gotta keep reading

[–]Yourstruly7775 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Psycho girls with strong backing will make it a game to bully guys in bars/nightclubs. Can be anything: dance floor, cutting in line, commenting,...
Bullying is socially accepted in that environment so it will always be a risk when you are there.
How would you have reacted if some huge guy grabbed the chairs? Or some tiny dude that wont give it back?
If you escalate with a tiny dude you look like an idiot, if you escalate with a gorilla you get your ass kicked. It is a no win situation.
Some guy described it best; state that the chairs are yours then ignore the rest. If the other person isn't an idiot they will give them back.
This bullying comes with the territory, its the jungle and you should recognize it as such. You are above it and cant be phased by it. Need to let it slide and stay cool.
Unless of course your best bet to get laid is to win a brawl.

Tried to call her out on it
That's the initial point where you fucked up, 'twas all downhill from there. Unless you do it in a teasing or otherwise emotionally spiking way, calling a woman out on her bullshit is about as useful as throwing a cup of water on a grease fire.
it definitely has me feeling like i need to up my gym time, go back to jiu jitsu
Leans into mic WRONG! Jesus Christ, the pervasive advice of "lift bro, be big bro" that comes from this sub is irritating sometimes. Lifting isn't always the answer. In fact, it hardly ever is - and this is coming from someone that lifts heavy and does BJJ/MMA as well. Game > size, every time. Size is a multiplier of game, to be sure, but if you're jacked and a social retard, things don't usually go your way. (/rant, bring the downvotes)
You noted yourself that you do BJJ/lift, yet still would have lost the fight. Take a step back (this sub needs to as well) and notice that game/"social dynamics" would have saved you in this situation, and most others. Learn how to diffuse AMOG situations.
First, use the acuity and awareness that BJJ gives you, and always have a mental map of the people/social scene around you. She walked over from a group of cop/big looking guys? Probably shouldn't directly provoke her as provoking her is provoking that pack. When she took the chair anyways, instead of being negatively reactive, simply laugh from your belly as if her actions thoroughly entertained you, off-handedly remark "rude," then go back to doing what you were doing - as anything else is either a waste of your time or a needless escalation. You're always above the drama, and you're not an etiquette teacher to be telling girls how to behave.
I'm just trying to be an adult here
You fucked yourself here as well. Don't qualify yourself, ever. In fact, don't even say the word "just" to describe your actions. "I just want to use the bathroom," "I just need a break." It's a bitch-made word.
[–]82517715286 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
im not sold on the "i said there are plenty of chairs all around and then all hell broke loose" there is more. either she bitched at you and you bitched back, or you said it in a mocking way or whatever.
what you shouldve done is not care about silly chairs in the first place. they were not your chairs. they were not important, not for your group, the least for yourself. they fucked with you, because they knew you had no standing ground. you not gonna take the chairs home with you arnt you. you plain and simple acted up.
"we can go be adults outside" from here on i only see 2 ways out. either make fun of him like "you are not my type/buy me dinner first" escalation, or de-escalation like "had a good day eh/my boss already fucked me today, thanks" he already knows he can kick your ass. escalating can lead to laughter, de-escalation can lead to self-reflecting and pitty without outright saying you wont fight.
seriously thou, why making a fuss out of chairs? and why you? try to be more fun. there are about 2000 better ways than bitching at this girl for stupid chairs.
[–]ImSecretlyATurtle1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Honestly that's life. Sometimes you will take an L. Was there a possible way to avoid/succeed in that situation? Yes. But it didn't happen. Try to learn from it and not let it happen again. But fuck it, who cares.
As for your girl. Depends on how packed the bar is. Helps if there's other shit to do besides sit at the table across from these people that punked you.

I'd agree if his question was only how to patch things with his woman afterward.
AMOGging and women who recreationally provoke drama are things that men must deal with repeatedly in life, so this thread is definitely of general interest, thus an okay fit for the main sub.
One thing that martial arts training has given me is a quiet confidence that deters idiots, sometimes before they even speak; sometimes when they provoke and I pivot with verbal judo instead of responding as expected. This provocative bitch dragged OP into her frame with a group of cops backing her up; the real key is to have solid enough frame that others can't provoke. Personally, I have greater aspirations in life than to argue over bar chairs.
yeah i posted there too. got way better answers here though. ill figure it out better next time

[–]_rasalghul1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I know it is not the best answer, but I would have ordered drinks to whole group just to show that I am above them in pecking order. Those cops are poorly educated.Fight is not the option for me.
[–]AttackOnKvothe6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]squirestrat2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
That's why you order 4 blow jobs for them ;)
[–]goldnhorde1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
geez ... now on a site that says never to buy a girl a drink .. we're buying a bunch of bully cops a drink.
See this is where money comes in. make more money and go to a better bar. if you are drinking at a bar that a cop can afford, you can do better.
if I were rip drunk and in that group I would have said "and now he's giving us blowjobs .... well, whos first? who will get this guys blowjob first?"
I hate bars ... and I really hate common bars. mostly because people as a whole are not that great and drunk ones are normally worse and more stupid. mix that with some of "wherever's finest" and you have a crap situation above.
and cops will hide behind their badge and buddies all day long. I don't know when it happened, but when did the right kind of men and women stop being cops? or maybe a better question is when did the wrong kind of people start taking their jobs?
I grew up a pretty bad kid and was constantly in trouble and the cops always took me back to my folks, always talked to me about being a better person, and were always good people in the real sense of the word. They were such a positive influence on me that I once broke up a two on one fight to save a cop from just being stomped on. now it was the right thing to do, but I know why I did it, and it was ONLY for those guys who took me home, told me to never get in trouble again, told me I was better than what I was doing, and left me at my doorstep.
now all we have is these douche nozzles.
[–]BlasphemousAgenda3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I like this idea, because he's already lost the intimidation game, the only thing left is to shift the focus to something he has control over.
[–]Aeronautix3 points 9 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
interesting, would be harder to justify harassing the guy who just bought you a round too
[–]Fat_Fucking_Lenny0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It's tough to say because I wasn't there. I think the best route would be to walk over and take your chairs back IMMEDIATELY if she had ignored your response.
If anyone says shit, just ignore them in a way that shows that you don't have time for their (the girl and guys) bullshit. Let them escalate if they want to. Odds are, they're not going to go apeshit over something stupid their girl did.
Feel free to critique my advice.
Edit: maintain a serious face throughout. Do not smile, smirk, or have any other facial expression that displays weakness. You're just being who you are.
[–]1Sir_Distic2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
ok.... Since I'm going to assume this happened in America there's something you need to know about modern cops. Most of them are Blue Pill White Knights. Some of them are ex military.
There's no way that scenario could have ended well had he escalated it. He'd have ended up in jail. Period. Win or lose the fight, even if it was just an argument, they could arrest him for public drunkenness, disturbing the peace, even disorderly conduct. Hell they could have made up a dozen charges. It'd be his word vs several cops in court. Guess who goes to jail?
His best best would have been to pull his cell phone out when "all hell broke lose" Keep it in his hand incase he needed to record. And otherwise just turn back to his girl and drinking. Ignore them. Easier said than done sure.
[–]KillaGrillz0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Honestly? I probably would have said something stupid like you did.
The difference is I probably would have said enough mean/provoking things that they wouldn't have tried to threaten me after that point. They would have left me the hell alone or set me up later that night.
Pride hurts kid, if you don't want to wind up dead or in jail, don't have it.

first, relax. This doesnt define the rest of your life. Just let it go and dont dwell on it. If this really affected your girl like you said, then she's not worth it. I'm sure she had your back.
[–]epubliusrex0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Best solution?
Find a more upscale environment. Cops won't fuck with people who have money. In those places they'll be polite--and so will the rest of the clientele.

Sounds like you got dubbed white knight status for your two male friends in front of your girl.
You took the bait. Now you might as well be on the path of being a purple pill SJW for "I'm just trying to be an adult here." The only logic I see is that you need to up your lifting game because your girl might now see you as a beta in her eyes. Game over.
I would of told my friends to get new seats, and if they gave me lip, I'd tell them that group over there wants to hear why they're so butt hurt.
yeah i think you're right. almost made it worse because i could see it happening, just didn't see my way out.
gym time is definitely on the agenda
[–]lvl99jacked1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Probably should cut out the alcohol and the bull shit story time dates with your friends (male and females). Work on hobbies and read some books. It's time to act before you're acted upon by your friends and girl.

[–]dat_mean_no_work0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You should have directed your attention to the males in the other group:
"Excuse me guys, can we hold onto these chairs for my friends? There are other chairs available (point) there and there."
Ignore the bitch that took the chairs. Take away what she was craving. My bet the other guys would probably told her to leave those chairs and take from somewhere else.
[–]NeoreactionSafe0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Classic Shit Test.
Sounds like you looked too beta to be taken seriously and they just walked all over you.
Your response:
"I'm a virtue signaling beta male who believes in gender equality and that the male adult is supposed to always bend over backwards for others. I was very gracious as they butt fucked me publically and held myself back from crying."
Answer
Make a stink to some degree. Basically throw the ball back into their court with a tone of voice that says you disapprove. If they escalate with a hostile tone then you need to decide how much you want to fight for some stupid chairs.
The point is you must speak up.
If you are forced to back down at least you forced them to take you seriously.
You need to be willing to go toe-to-toe psychologicaly before physically.
In a perfect world they back down and even apologize. (doubtful here)
