I am 26 and still living at home, since 17 I have quit at least 8 jobs due to not being able to handle that initial overwhelming stress that new jobs come with, and my new role is NO different.

I am absolutely fucking riddled with anxiety and 'what if' thoughts every moment, but I am still fucking turning up because I am so FUCKING SICK AND TIRED of feeling defeated and behind the pack. I'm not eating much, and my stomach is always unsettled before a shift, but I just tell myself to push forward and to force confidence and do whatever I can to make it through the probationary period which is 4 weeks.

I just finished week 1 and my week 2 roster just arrived and I feel sick and filled with doubt. But when I consider how I would feel if I DID quit, then man, I get some motivation fast because I do NOT want to feel like that again.

Waking up every day, considering applying to this or to that job, daydreaming, hoping, sleeping, zero bank account. Gross.

I have not yet even began to settle in or adjust to the hours and workload but it appears I have nothing else better to do but try. Trying feels better than not trying, and I am sick of viewing myself as a man-child..

Week 2 for me begins tomorrow, I'm ready.
