"I like arrogance. Not just confidence but that arrogant nature. Superiority complex. Think Loki from Avengers. Not necessarily people who would insult me though.

Usually my long term relationships aren't with these types though, thankfully."

Hah. How reassuring for the nice guys she settles down with.

[–]DavidTIntellectual 33 points34 points35 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

For some reason I am attracted to clean cut, closet nerds. Guys who are smart and like geeky things, but don't admit it because they still want to be cool. They are in pretty good shape, dress well, and tend to have an experimental side in bed.

Haha, I love this... "I love nerdy guys, just as long as they're not nerds. Basically I just want a standard good looking alpha who shares some of my interests."

I always hate it when guys think that being a nerd gives them special access to "nerd girls". As if the girl you play WoW with isn't just as attracted to alpha jocks as any other female?

[–]grlthng20 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

nerdy seems to have somehow morphed into a synonym for intelligent these days.

[–]Ragnar09 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just shows you bitches dont know what they want. They say some bs and end up doing the opposite

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points32 points 13 years ago (50 children) | Copy Link

I like nice men. I burned through bad boys in my early 20's. I like them to pay their taxes and have good relationships with their mother. Know how to grocery shop do laundry and hold liquor...drunk dudes are gross dudes. I hear you thinking whats not to be proud of but pretty much everyone accuses me of wanting a woman when I note these things. My boyfriend is devoid of a vagina though so another round for me.

Classic case of hitting her wall and hopping off the cock carousel.

[–]Francois_Rapiste -5 points-4 points-3 points 13 years ago (48 children) | Copy Link

Are you saying that she got sick of bad boys or that she lost her ability to get them to fuck her?

[–]new_qgj 29 points30 points31 points 13 years ago (32 children) | Copy Link

The former is a convenient excuse for the latter.

[+]Francois_Rapiste -17 points-16 points-15 points 13 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

Now I get it. You, uh... you guys have never met her though so I wouldn't make assumptions. It's not like women are made from a cookie cutter.

[–]new_qgj 16 points17 points18 points 13 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Of course we haven't met her. NAWALT, of course.

TRP contributors frequently find examples within reddit that reenforce a belief in the concepts of SMV and hitting the wall.

Given what we know, why should we believe otherwise?

Aside from telling us what a beautiful, unique woman this girl (and SO many others) undoubtably are, can you tell us why she is different from so many other women that demonstrate behavior like this?

[–]red_pill_account 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

To play devil's advocate, most women don't hit the wall until their late twenties/early thirties, 'burning through bad boys' in ones early twenties before getting tired of them doesn't, to me, read as 'hitting the wall'. Additionally, her definition of a 'nice guy' isn't necessarily a beta--he pays his taxes, gets along with his mom, holds his liquor, and can navigate a grocery store.

It just sounds like she went from finding immaturity attractive to finding maturity attractive--not an unusual phenomenon once someone graduates college.

[–]new_qgj 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I burned through bad boys in my early 20's.

I think it is safe to assume that this woman is in her late twenties or early thirties.

Should we believe that the personality traits of the men she chose to fuck during the wild ride of college are no longer attractive to her? Are the men that she spurned during this time are now somehow more attractive?

"Growing up" or "maturing" is absolutely hitting the wall.

[–]Francois_Rapiste -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

If there's a shit ton of women who sincerely get sick of "bad boys" and a shit ton of women who just hit the wall, she's likely to be either one. Why the fuck should I sit around and pretend that I know which one she is?

[–]new_qgj 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

You are unlikely to find many people here that are sympathetic to the belief that women can "sincerely get sick of 'bad boys'".

In this context, "bad boys" and alphas are synonymous; they are men that are attractive to women.

At what point in my life do the things that turn me on sexually change? When can the archetype of my ideal mate change in the same way that a woman can stop loving the "bad boy?"

[–]Francois_Rapiste -4 points-3 points-2 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

No. Bad boys and "alphas" are not synonymous. Bad boys are the kinds of guys who have criminal records and your "alphas" are capable of picking up women. Those two things aren't always the same.

[–]new_qgj 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Come on. You don't need a criminal record to be a bad boy.

If you spend enough time in the manosphere, you'll realize that the bad boy is actually alpha. Notoriety, sociopathy, and machiavellianism are all indicators of good game.

[+]Francois_Rapiste -7 points-6 points-5 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You're either calling yourself a notorious, sociopathic machiavellian or someone with bad game. Your pick.

[–]new_qgj2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'm not calling myself anything.

You are right though - synonymous was the wrong word choice.

Still, bad boys and alphas are far from mutually exclusive.

Notoriety, sociopathy, and machiavellianism are intersecting traits of alphas and bad boys.

[–]Francois_Rapiste0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That can be true, but those traits are only attractive in one night stands. They're huge turnoffs in relationships. Those two facts make it easy for me to believe that a woman can change preferences or simultaneously hold those two conflicting preferences, which is why I don't find it so hard to believe that that woman was attracted to "alphas" and now is attracted to her current SO. Maybe her tastes changed, maybe they didn't. Either way it doesn't mean that he's less attractive as much as it does that he plays a long term game.

[–]new_qgj2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That can be true, but those traits are only attractive in one night stands. They're huge turnoffs in relationships.

Shouldn't the men that get a woman's panties wet be the same men that qualify for a long term relationship? What man would be happy knowing that he is relationship material while also knowing that there are men other than him that his SO considers ONS material?

Also, did you mean "he" or "she" plays a long term game? Either way, long term game is terrible.

[–]Francois_Rapiste2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

If they do it by being fucking sociopaths, they're obviously not dating material over the long term. Duh. Many men are happy knowing that their girlfriends and wives don't consider them sociopaths, and I'm going to be okay with that too. Given the effect of love goggles, my future wife is going to find me more attractive than pretty much anybody, just like many of my girlfriends did. Remember, a good pair of love goggles trumps being a machiavellian prick unless a) the prick looks way the fuck better than you or b) you and the wife aren't getting along at all.

He's playing the long term game, ie his dating strategy focuses on relationships instead of hookups. Relationships require more effort but are far more rewarding. If you really get more out of random hookups, wow. I don't even know what to say at that point.

It's not like women are made from a cookie cutter.

NAWALT. Never fails. Just lol.

[–]rkg-pua5 points 13 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

sigh ----- If I say "all women wear purses" we both know that is not entirely true, HOWEVER, enough of them do, that the observation is still sound.

Qualitative research methodology 101.

[+]Francois_Rapiste -7 points-6 points-5 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Is that applicable here? She says that she used to prefer "bad boys". Y'know, men with criminal records but not stable jobs. Do enough women prefer dickheads for this "observation" to be sound? No. They do not.

[–]rkg-pua 9 points9 points9 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Do enough women prefer dickheads for this "observation" to be sound?

Yes, genius. Did you even read that thread? The top posts all said "cocky, elitist, assholes" were the traits which made the gina tingle. I am done here, my brain is starting to hurt.

[–]Francois_Rapiste -5 points-4 points-3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I read that thread, I was the fucking OP. And I really think that elitists and bad boys are separated at least by social class if nothing else.

By the way, that thread also subverted your "all women are alike paradigm" at least on things like height, hairiness, weight, and social class. The diversity of the responses was pretty big.

[–]TRP Vanguardnicethingyoucanthave 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You realize there's more variation in cookies made from the same cutter than in people made from human dna

[–]GeorgeGordonByron -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

actually it's been scientifically proven that women have less variation between their personalities than men do. In other words, women are easier to stereotype (and the reverse, stereotypes of them are more likely to be true) than men are.

[–]Francois_Rapiste -3 points-2 points-1 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

That doesn't mean they all prefer dickheads and only settle for stable men when they can't attract assholes anymore.

[–]GeorgeGordonByron 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

no, the fact that they all act that way does.

[–]Francois_Rapiste -4 points-3 points-2 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

A huge percentage of women have never slept with an asshole, but you don't see that because you surround yourself with women who sleep with assholes and act like an asshole to attempt seducing them.

[–]Modredpillschool 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That's total bs, most guys are here after being turned up by normal women. The asshole game we preach here is a learned behavior after that experience.

[–]Francois_Rapiste 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So what? My point still stands that many women never sleep with "bad boys" and you guys' arguments are based around that they all prefer bad boys. If so many of them have never sealed the deal with one, your point there turns to liquid shit.

[–]redpillschool3 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No, your point does not. Your point was that we don't see the nice normal girls dating normal guys because we're assholes. I just made it clear that, in fact, nice girls not dating normal guys was the catalyst to most of us taking the red pill. It wasn't an option, it wasn't a fun decision, it was necessary.

[–]Francois_Rapiste0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No, my point wasn't that women don't date normal guys or something like that. You guys were saying that we know for certain that she was only dating steadily because she lost the ability to attract one night stands. I'm saying that that's not necessarily the case. This guy was telling me that she does because all women are the same and they all fuck random guys until they aren't attractive enough to draw them in, which is of course complete bullshit.

[–]redpillschool3 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

If you really believe that a generalization implies that all women are like that, you haven't read our sidebar and I don't know what you're doing here.

[–]be_tru 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

It's FAR more likely that they turned their preference to "stable guy" because she realized the bad boy wasn't going to privide her with a stable house and kids, rather than her sexual preference/attraction magically shifted around that time, don't you think? (hint: attraction isn't logical and it isn't a choice).

When they say they now prefer stable guys, it's not due to a change in attraction, it just becomes practical to get what they want.

[+]Francois_Rapiste -10 points-9 points-8 points 13 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

-or- they're sick of guys that don't care about them and prefer a stable guy because it's more romantic and sensible on an emotional level. Speaking of which, romance elevates levels of attraction, so she's probably more attracted to her current stable SO than she was most of the douchebags she used to fuck.

[–]sigmalays 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

-or- they're sick of guys that don't care about them and prefer a stable guy because it's more romantic and sensible on an emotional level.

Probably. But she'll still jump the next "bad boy" that pushes the right buttons.

Even more so once she's entitled to half the "nice guy"'s earnings in case they separate - at that point it's not stability vs hot sex any more, it's boredom vs hot sex.

[–]Francois_Rapiste -2 points-1 points0 points 13 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Again, romance elevates attraction. Besides that, your partner is the only one who knows just how you like your nookie. Most partners don't cheat. So no, she probably prefers her SO. Also, providing for them makes you attractive to most women because it means power and resources.

[–]sigmalays 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Also, providing for them makes you attractive to most women because it means power and resources.

When just as much or more of your resources are available to her if she leaves you then it doesn't have an impact.

[–]Francois_Rapiste 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Divorced women have less wealth on average than married women, so that's bullshit.

[–]sigmalays -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Totally bro! lol

[–]Francois_Rapiste 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Fucking think about it retard. If she stays with you she has access to all of your resources and if she leaves she gets half, although if there's a prenup she gets less.

[–]sigmalays1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

$100k compared to $50k does not have the appeal that $100k compared to $0 has, not even remotely.

Before she married you, your "wealth based attractiveness bonus" pushed you from 7/10 to 9/10 - now it's only good for a 7.5/10. On top of that there's the "grass is always greener" handicap costing you one point, and both her "need to get married" handicap and her "biological clock" handicap are gone.

And it's not just half of your resources, it's also the opportunity to find the next fish while she still thinks she has a chance to catch one.

[–]Francois_Rapiste0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No, she still views you as resourced and powerful. Most women don't sit around looking for other options either; once they're married they stick to it. There's a reason that the divorce rate is fifty percent, and it's that many people divorce multiple times. The majority stick it out with their spouse.

Also, every singular scrap of scientific evidence goes against everything you just said. Just letting you know.

[–]sigmalays1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

that's definitely good for you

[–]Crackertron 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Oh yeah, who doesn't love watching their hubby pay the bills or wash the dishes? Mmmmmmm

[–]Francois_Rapiste -2 points-1 points0 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Again, romance elevates attraction. Google "love goggles". Also, only an SO knows just how you like it in bed.

[–]Crackertron 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Are we talking about the same type of attraction?

[–]Francois_Rapiste -2 points-1 points0 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Given that psychologists consistently report higher sexual activity and more enjoyable sex for married couples than for singles, I would say that we aren't.

The "bad boy" thing is just a fantasy for most women. Very few would actually pursue it.

Depends on what you mean by "pursue". Do they hook up with these bad boys in staggering numbers? Yes. Do they successfully engage in a long-term relationship? Probably not.

[–]The_Mermaid -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

It depends on your definition of "bad boy". If you mean someone that is actually committing crimes, most women avoid them completely. If you just mean a non-conformist, there's nothing wrong with that.

[–]RedSunBlue 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

And don't skim.

[+]The_Mermaid -6 points-5 points-4 points 13 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I read the articles in the sidebar a few months ago. I had a lot of issues with most of them.

[–]RedSunBlue 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Do you have a coherent rebuttal to any of the topics raised, e.g., one that goes deeper than "It's wrong because it's wrong" or "Not all women are like that"?

[–]The_Mermaid -5 points-4 points-3 points 13 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

For one thing, the "Not all women are like that" argument actually goes pretty far. We are individuals who have different personalities, different interests, different traits that we find attractive in the opposite sex (or the same sex, not all women are straight).

But the one that really irritates me is the "Return of Kings" one. I've read about that guy before, and I've read some posts on his blog. He sounds like a gigantic asshole. He takes the "uncaring" thing to the extreme. I could see him being the type that if he were seeing a girl, and her entire family was killed in a car accident, he would decide she's no longer fun and he would leave. He clearly has issues.

[–]RedSunBlue4 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You've managed to say absolutely nothing. Your first critique, the "special snowflake" fallacy, has been lobbed at every attempt to model female sexual strategy and has been thoroughly discredited time and time again.

Your second critique is nothing but an ad hominem attack. You are attempting to invalidate the idea based on your feelings about the writer, whose name you did not even bother to learn.

These arguments are so common, they have already been addressed ad nauseum.

[–]redpillschool3 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

But, it like, felt wrong.. maaaannnn...

[–]The_Mermaid0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You can't take the weird actions of one woman, and assume it's a common thing. I saw this posted on /r/theredpill a few days ago, with the headline "Can I get a NAWALT?" I think this is a case of "one woman did that". I can guarantee you that the vast majority of women do not write alleged killer's names on their abdomen surrounded by hearts and arrows. This is nothing more than an excuse for guys to say "See, women are crazy."

In regards to the blogger, his name is Roosh V. I don't know if that's his real name or a blogging name. And my complaint isn't with his personality, it's with the advice he gives other men. His entire message is to use women for sex, absolutely nothing more. And in one post, he talks about how he cares about his sister and when she gets older, he will teach her the tricks so guys don't use them on her. It's nice that he looks out for his family, but maybe he should remember that all women are daughters/sisters/mothers.

Nice reframing of the argument. A for effort, F for execution. Your original argument:

For one thing, the "Not all women are like that" argument actually goes pretty far. We are individuals who have different personalities, different interests, different traits that we find attractive in the opposite sex (or the same sex, not all women are straight).

If you bothered to read the link I posted -- I'm guessing you didn't -- there is a refutation of your insistance of the validity of the NAWALT defense. In short, of course not all women are like that, but enough are.

From the linked thread, for your convenience:

“Not All Women Are Like That!” (NAWALT)

The argument: You can’t generalize people, they are all different. People are a product of their genetics and their upbringing. No two people have the same DNA or upbringing; therefore there cannot be commonalities between them.

The truth: Of course not all people are identical. Of course not all women are like that. But enough are to form a pattern worth discussing. When discussing the difference between men and women it’s safe to say women are smaller than men. This generalization is accepted, because it’s true most of the time. The generalizations we discuss here are similar; true most of the time.

On to what you just wrote:

You can't take the weird actions of one woman, and assume it's a common thing. I saw this[1] posted on /r/theredpill[2] a few days ago, with the headline "Can I get a NAWALT?" I think this is a case of "one woman did that". I can guarantee you that the vast majority of women do not write alleged killer's names on their abdomen surrounded by hearts and arrows. This is nothing more than an excuse for guys to say "See, women are crazy."

Reading comprehension: F

You are mistaking the symptom for the cause. The post in question does not -- nor does it try to -- demonstrate that the vast majority of women write serial killers' names on their crotches. It demonstrates an aspect of female mating strategy that has been discussed elsewhere in this very thread. I will not repeat it here.

In regards to the blogger, his name is Roosh V. I don't know if that's his real name or a blogging name. And my complaint isn't with his personality, it's with the advice he gives other men. His entire message is to use women for sex, absolutely nothing more.

Reading comprehension: You don't read, you just see what you want to see.

His main complaints are with Western women and advises that Western women be used for sex and nothing more. He constantly praises the superiority of women from countries where femininity is still valued.

I do not eagerly await your response.

[–]The_Mermaid0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I did read the comments for the "Writing on the Crotch" photo. Here are some:

We all know that women seek status through high status men. Fame is a form of status. Pretty straightforward. All that aside, women often also lust after violent criminals, serial killers and the like.

If he wasn't famous his cute face wouldn't be plastered all over the media for women to swoon over.

Someone trying to explain why he thinks women like him (This one is actually well thought out, makes some good points, but not entirely accurate)

A very small percentage of women become groupies for mass murderers. Are there a other women who have secret fantasies about a killer? Yes, I don't know what percentage though.

In regards to Roosh, I know that he praises non-Western women. He only respects women if they behave in a way that he finds acceptable. There's nothing inherently wrong, or unethical, about Western women, they just don't meet his standard of femininity and gender roles.

You're still mistaking the symptom for the cause.

Now on to why this will be my last response to you.

You say:

His entire message is to use women for sex, absolutely nothing more.

I say:

His main complaints are with Western women and advises that Western women be used for sex and nothing more. He constantly praises the superiority of women from countries where femininity is still valued.

Then you admit you were being fallacious:

In regards to Roosh, I know that he praises non-Western women. He only respects women if they behave in a way that he finds acceptable.

Then you try to justify it by saying:

He only respects women if they behave in a way that he finds acceptable.

Let me ask you, how does that makes you any different from him? Do you respect men whose behavior you find unacceptable? If you do, what's your problem with bad boys?

In otherwords, you knowingly misrepresented Roosh's stance on women to justify your original assessment of him.

This smells of begging the question to me.

There's nothing inherently wrong, or unethical, about Western women

No argument here, because we are not here to discuss wrong and right. We are discussing what is better for men. Keep that in mind whenever you put finger to keyboard around these parts.

they just don't meet his standard of femininity and gender roles.

And that of many other men.

Lady, it's been fun, but I don't think I can continue doing this if you keep leading with your conclusions. For your future reference, here's how discussion here works:

  1. You present evidence and/or reasoning.

  2. You present your stance.

  3. I agree or disagree with your stance using evidence and/or reasoning of my own.

Reading comprehension: F- You're still mistaking the symptom for the cause.

Maybe I'm missing something. Then please explain the cause. I am curious to understand the cause.

Let me ask you, how does that makes you any different from him? Do you respect men whose behavior you find unacceptable? If you do, what's your problem with bad boys?

I respect everyone that lives their life in a way that doesn't harm or exploit others. Those are the only behaviors I consider "unacceptable." Some other behaviors might be unpleasant, but not worthy of disrespect.

No argument here, because we are not here to discuss wrong and right. We are discussing what is better for men. Keep that in mind whenever you put finger to keyboard around these parts.

No, I understand that the purpose of this subreddit is what is best for men. Just remember that women are individuals, not here entirely for men's pleasure.

[–]RedSunBlue0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yep.

Then please explain the cause. I am curious to understand the cause.

Nope. It's been covered elsewhere in responses to you by others in this very thread. I will not put two and two together for you.

He only respects women if they behave in a way that he finds acceptable.

is the same as:

I respect everyone that lives their life in a way that doesn't harm or exploit others. Those are the only behaviors I consider "unacceptable." Some other behaviors might be unpleasant, but not worthy of disrespect.

If Roosh has issues, you have them too.

No, I understand that the purpose of this subreddit is what is best for men.

Then stop talking about what you like and what you want because it has nothing to do with this subreddit's goal.

Just remember that women are individuals, not here entirely for men's pleasure.

Only insofar as it leads to a successful sexual strategy.

BTW, your debate style is typical of women and is just adding more examples of the oft-decried red pill theory that women are inherently solipsistic and blissfully unaware of their own biological motivators.

EDIT: Also, please explain why, since you acknowledge that this sub is dedicated to what is best for men, Roosh's ideas are no good?

[–]The_Mermaid0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

BTW, your debate style is typical of women and is just adding more examples of the oft-decried red pill theory that women are inherently solipsistic and blissfully unaware of their own biological motivators.

I'm not unaware of my own biological motivators. I don't understand all women's biological motivators, but I do understand my own.

But to answer your questions, Roosh's ideas are flawed, because they involve treating half the population (I'm not going to nitpick over which countries' women he likes and doesn't like) like second class citizens. That's called bigotry. You can look out for your own needs, there's nothing wrong with that. But when you have to treat other groups poorly to do so, then your ideas and methods are flawed.

[–]RedSunBlue0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Regardless of your mischaracterizations of Roosh's advice, Men want to get laid. If being an asshole gets men laid, then the advice "be an asshole" is solid advice, despite how it makes you feeeeeeeeel. It is not flawed because it did not fail in its objective.

Men will stop being assholes once women stop fucking assholes.

We're done here. You've demonstrated yourself incapable of anything but circular arguments centered around your feelings.

Your argument, once again, holds no water. I have tagged you as "Waste of time, DNR". Later, toots.

Very few can successfully pursue it.

[–]The_Mermaid -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Yet look how many girls date thugs...

[–]The_Mermaid 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I don't understand that. There are some fantasies that should stay fantasies.

[–]Modredpillschool 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Of course you don't understand that. You've made it clear on this thread that you don't understand most of your own gender's mating strategy.

[–]The_Mermaid -2 points-1 points0 points 13 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I don't want to date someone who is unemployed, and I have to take care of him. I don't want to date someone in a gang, where I'm always afraid I'll end up getting killed as some type of retaliation. I don't want to date a man that abuses me in any way. And I don't want to date a man who can't follow the basic rules of society (I make an exception for some victimless crimes, because I think all victimless crimes should be legal). I'm still not going to date a drug addict, though.

[–]Modredpillschool 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

LOL

[–]The_Mermaid 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

That doesn't sound like a fun relationship, working to support some unemployed guy's drug habit, being beaten by him, then getting killed by the rival gang.

[–]redpillschool1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The reason I'm laughing at you is simple, I agree. Sounds shitty. Sounds terrible. Sounds like a stupid life plan to get wrapped up in sorts like that.

And we've heard countless women tell us the same. Over the course of our entire lives.

Don't do those things, real Quality women won't appreciate those traits. They're just losers!

Real Quality Women prefer down to earth guys who aren't sociopaths and are well mannered and kind and peaceful.

LOL.

You know why this sub exists? Because after being fed these lies for years, we started to wonder, if what you say is true.. why is that thug getting laid 24/7, and my mild-mannered ass with a stable job and a great sense of humor going without?

Read the sidebar, Mermaid, or leave.

[–]The_Mermaid2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I did read the sidebar. I'm just here to ask a few questions, defend my point of view, and get some insight into a different viewpoint.

[–]redpillschool0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Your point of view is uninformed and useless to us. Listening to people like you is exactly why we needed the red pill, game, and the manosphere to sort things out.

[–]The_Mermaid3 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

My point of view is based on my own life experiences, and my research on gender dynamics. Maybe it's flawed, but who knows? I don't think there is only one right way to approach the issue.

Girl doesn't understand her own mating strategy = doesn't matter still have sex whenever she wants.

Guy doesn't understand girl's mating strategy = involuntarily celibate for life.

I understand the type of guys I'm attracted to, there's no mystery there. I don't try to figure out what other women are attracted to, though.

[–]redpillschool0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

If I had a dime for every time a woman told me she knew what she was attracted to and then went off and fucked the complete opposite, well I'd be rich.

[–]The_Mermaid3 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Maybe so. But I know what I'm attracted to, and those are the types of guys I pursue. That being said, there are certain times where fantasies are best left alone, regardless of how attractive the fantasy sounds.

[–]Francois_Rapiste 6 points7 points8 points 13 years ago (57 children) | Copy Link

Yo, it's OP from the link up top. Good news for us masculine guys who are blunt, don't shave often enough, have decent musculature instead of being built like a stick and are seen as cocky by most of our peers, etc.: some women like us.

Bad news is they pretend not to.

[–]protips4ya[S] 13 points14 points15 points 13 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I think for most guys here, it was more entertaining than informative. I can practically guarantee you that every guy that those girls were talking about hasn't once taken female advice on relationships/sex.

I've said it once and I'll said a thousand times more: making women your top priority is the most surefire way of becoming their last.

[–]OhHoneyNo 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are aware that some women absolutely do not want to be a man's top priority, right? Nothing makes me want to run faster than being worshiped by someone. I'm okay with dating a guy who knows HE is his top priority, and I am mine.

[+]Francois_Rapiste -8 points-7 points-6 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

[–]protips4ya[S] 8 points9 points10 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]Francois_Rapiste -5 points-4 points-3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (38 children) | Copy Link

Are you even remotely attractive and regularly pursued? Any woman who says she doesn't like those traits is a liar and has attempted to rationalize herself out of her instinctual attraction to The Dark Triad because she can't attract those kind of men.

[–]The_Mermaid -2 points-1 points0 points 13 years ago (37 children) | Copy Link

I am considered very attractive by most people, and frequently pursued.

What is the Dark Triad?

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (36 children) | Copy Link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_triad

No, this doesn't mean you go for ex-convicts and serial killers but I guarantee the last guy you fucked exhibited some degree of these personality traits. If not, then you are in your late 20s/early 30s, have hit the wall, and are going after the provider type which exhibits almost none of those qualities because your uterus is screaming at you to make babies.

[–]OhHoneyNo 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I must completely disagree. I am quite frequently pursued and have zero interest in settling down, having babies and being someone's domestic princess. Also zero interest in your so-called triad. I have not "hit the wall" as you so unkindly call it. I work out, take care of my body, pursue a wide range of interests, and strive to be an intelligent and self-directed woman.

Cocky, arrogant machismo guys? No thanks.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Right, you'll make a great carousel ride for many men I'm sure. Either that or you'll find some beta nice guy you can keep around like a puppy dog until his lack of said Dark Triad traits forces your hypergamy to move on to the next tree branch.

[–]The_Mermaid 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

OK, I will agree that the "Dark Triad" personality type sounds very attractive in theory. But if I went around looking for guys like that, I'd probably end up dead.

[–]Modredpillschool 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

And yet women everywhere survive... it just doesn't add up.

[–]The_Mermaid 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]redpillschool1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No, if you started hanging out with serial killers, your odds would go up. Believe it or not, serial killers aren't that common.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

Like most everything else it has degrees. I score high in all 3 areas, sleep with extremely attractive women, and haven't killed anyone, yet. Whether you're conscience of it or not you do look for guys like that. Some of us are extremely professional and no one knows.

[–]The_Mermaid -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (28 children) | Copy Link

I see what you are saying, I probably look for guys that have some of those traits, to a moderate degree. What do you mean by "extremely professional," though?

[–][deleted]-1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I have a baby face, white collar professional career, dress well, speak well, impeccable manners, and am extremely social when I want to be. On the other hand I carry a 3" pocket knife, as well as a firearm, and when pushed I tend to warn once and then remove the problem the most efficient way. Thankfully no one has pushed me to a life or death situation. I also enjoy my alone time and have little to no empathy for those outside of my Pride. Combine all of this with visiting TRP daily and embracing its ideals and you could call me a wolf in sheep's clothing.

[–]The_Mermaid2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

There's nothing unusual about protecting yourself in self-defense, though, I would do the same thing, most people would.

[–][deleted]0 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

They really wouldn't. Most people are terrified of conflict and my only point in bringing all that up was to say that there are strong Dark Triad men out there who you would never guess based on their appearance.

[–]The_Mermaid2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I would defend myself if I were attacked. And I can tell when a guy has those traits, they really stand out.

[–][deleted]1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Sounds like we agree then. That went better than most conversations with women in this sub, especially self-proclaimed feminists. Take it easy darlin'

[–]The_Mermaid2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Are there any women in this sub that actually agree with the idea of the Red Pill?

[–][deleted]1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

A few agree, some agree with parts, most try and tell us why they're "different" and why we're all misogynists. The best part is all the successful Red Pill men know better than to ever listen to women about women, so we just go about our business while the harpies screech.

[–]The_Mermaid2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'm surprised that there are women that actually think this way of life is a good idea.

[–][deleted]2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Femininity isn't quite dead in the First World, but feminism has certainly done enough damage that it is on life support. I'm surprised women continue to want to be masculine even though study after study shows that they have never been more miserable. Fighting your biology is not the way to live a fulfilling life.

[–]The_Mermaid1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don't consider myself masculine, but I'm also not super feminine either. My appearance is feminine, my personality is a combination of both.

[–][deleted]2 points 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Traditional feminine looks makes my dick hard, but a traditionally feminine personality is simply intoxicating. I really wish First World women would get on the fucking ball already, would save me tons of money traveling. At this point that's a pipe dream, however, so I will just enjoy the decline until I find a new country to call home.

[–]The_Mermaid1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

We like our freedoms, though, we're not giving that up :) Are American women really that bad though, that you have to leave the country?

[–][deleted]1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

As a whole American women have little to no self-respect, respect for others, extremely unhealthy self-entitlement issues, are emotional basket cases, and their loyalty depends solely on their "feelings." The more attractive the worse it gets. If I could trick my attraction into pursuing fatties I'd be set because the obesity rate is skyrocketing as quickly as their standards plummet. Fortunately I've set the bar high with the previous women I've dated and I am past my "pump and dump" phase or staying in America would be great as it is so rare to find one worth investing in so I could continue to increase the notch count. If I want to save myself a lot of grief in running a soft harem and actually building emotional connections it only makes sense to do it in a country where the women are already much more feminine. Eastern Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, etc. Now, tell me why you're different so we can get your NAWALT fantasy out of the way.

[–]The_Mermaid1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

In my case, I have a high degree of self-respect, and I respect others (if they deserve respect). I don't have entitlement issues, I only feel entitled to things I earn, or things that everyone is entitled to. I am not an emotional basket case, the last time I cried was a year ago at a funeral. And I don't make decisions based on my feelings.

I know some women that fit the category you described, but it certainly doesn't apply to all, or even most American women.

[–][deleted]1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You read from the script perfectly.

How many women have you dated?

[–]The_Mermaid1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–][deleted]1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of 60+, closed 40, and I talk to men who are far more successful than I am on a regular basis. Our consensus is that the First World is a social and legal cesspool for men and should be avoided at all costs. I think I am going to go ahead and take my own advice, and not listen to you about women. Night doll.

[–]The_Mermaid1 point 13 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
