After years of being treated as if she were invisible, it occurred that she might actually be invisible...

cue Mindy doing "you-go-girl" things like walking around naked (shudder).

At the end, it cuts to her sniffing Matt Damon, after which she asks...

"Can you kiss me so I can make sure?"

Cue Matt Damon saying "no"

Now reverse the genders. And let's examine the feminist reaction:

  • Man complaining he's treated as though invisible?

"Eww, so creepy! Men aren't entitled to female attention! Check your privilege! Men have the patriarchy and you shouldn't ever complain!"

  • Women complaining she's treated as invisible?

"I feel so sorry for her! She's so lonely and needs to be protected! No woman should have to go through this! Not ever! By the way, where have all the good men gone? Wah!"

  • Man walking around naked or doing outlandish things for attention

"Eww, don't assert your toxic masculinity on others! All men need to realize that even the most mundane things can be triggering for women, because we are all potential rape victims! Please don't assume that your societal-conditioned cismale gestures aren't rapey...because they can be!"

  • Woman walking around naked or doing outlandish things for attention

"Haha, she's so quirky and fun! I wish other women would stop focusing on looks and body image and instead be exactly like this woman! She gives no fucks and that's the most attractive thing for a woman to be!..."

(solipsism; taking what they find attractive in men and wishing it applies to women)

"...We need to teach young girls that it's okay to be quirky!"

(excuse to be unattractive and overweight...just like Mindy Kaling. To be clear, it IS okay to be unattractive and overweight. Your choice. But it becomes not okay once you start demanding that men find you attractive).

  • Man going up to female celebrity out of his class (as Matt Damon is out of Mindy's class) and sniffing/groping/asking for a kiss...

"Eww, so creepy! That is sexual harassment and unwanted masculinity! We are teaching young boys that it's okay to rape! Please send all pre-pubescent males to education camps to teach them not to hurt women, because all men naturally want to!"

  • Woman going up to male and doing the same

"Haha, oh she is so goofy! I just love overly romanticizing being introverted and being socially inept around my crush! And it's so courageous of her to act on her impulses!"

Lessons:

1) Standards women have for low value men are much stricter than those they have for high value men.

Low SMV men are the scapegoats for women's anger/resentment when they are unable to secure sex/attention/commitment from high SMV men. Low value men receive women's ire because women know that they will take it and still come back for more, all for the chance for a little sex

High value men escape these requirements by being redpill, by showing women they have options and won't put up with it.

2) Standards society has for women and men are different.

Keep in mind that these standards heavily favor 100% of women and only 20% of men. And even then, the favorable treatment for these high SMV 20% of men are implied and never outright stated. They are actually outright denied, but you can observe the reality; "Watch what women do, not what they say".

And last time I checked, women are still going home with alphas while complaining/scapegoating/resigning-themselves-to-marriage with the betas.

Hence the existence of /r/theredpill.
