Knowing wine is like knowing game

It's difficult to write a simple and useful guide about wine,but a brief introduction can help you in improving your life on many facets. You can use your knowledge of wine in every social situations in which drink is involved,an intimate date with a woman and above all to chose and enjoy what you drink. I understand men who don't drink,but if you do the better is knowing what are you doing. Wine is a world,is an industry of billions of euro,is a social glue,is status,is comunication,is magic,emotions and charme. Knowing wine is like knowing game:you can use it like a tool.

Imagine James Bond at dinner with a girl: he chose the wine(s) and he chose well,because he know that the proper wine for a dish is delightful for him and for the girl,who maybe doesn't know nothing about the food-wine matching technique but enjoy the result as a magic. Too many men instead don't know nothing,are undecided or ask "What do you think,honey?I don't know,maybe this or maybe this,what are we doing?" to the woman what to do (you can ask to the sommelier,but he is another man who know things better than you in front of your girl.You can do it,but for many reasons the best is know what you want). Don't do this;women don't want to make decisions and you don't want to subject yourself to her decisions in matter of wine,because they know nothing about and they only want the magic.So give them first the alcoholic magic,then the dick.

The right bottle of wine can be the best gift to a man,especially not young and not poor.A man like this maybe don't want as gift a shitty object,because he chose the objects he wants according to his standard but a bottle of wine is an experience of taste and doesn't take space in his home.

So,how to do this (and more)?

I will write a guide for you in some posts,because I'm taking a lot from you and I want to give something back.

  • What is wine?

Wine is an alcoholic beverage obtained from the fermentation of grape juice. There are some kind of winemaking,remeber red,white and roseè (pinky wine,but you don't put together a white and red to make it).You can make a white wine from red grapes (not the contrary) depends by winemaking. Sparkling wine are obtained from regular wine,by adding yeast and sugar,there are two most important method to doing them: Martinotti method and classic method. Martinotti method is for sparkling wine in general more fruity and less "fine" and wine is sparkled in autoclave. Classic method wine are sparkled with secondary fermentation in the bottle,Champagne wine are the most famous example (champagne sparkling wine are classic method sparkling wine,but only made in the french region of Champagne).

Other kind of wines:

Straw wine:making dried the grapes,on the plants or harvested,with mold (Tokaij,Sauternes) or not.They are smooth and sweet wines

Fortified wines:wine added with liqueur,they can be sweet or dry,alcohol between 15%-22%. (Marsala,Porto,Sherry, Madeira...remember the name of Sherry is not related to "cherry" (the fruit),but the Spanish city fo Jerez anglicized).
