In the redpill and through it we have learned much. We know that women will crawl through glass and brave anything for the right guy. They make rules for betas and exceptions for alphas. Say what you will about women's intuition being flawed and betas being dupes, but there is something in their behavior that is gold. Namely the level of pain and adversity we are willing to brave for love and because of it.

Returning to the Basics

As children we had an intuition which was on point even if we did not understand why. You knew that if you liked a girl, you teased her. In life you played around, explored, and did things that interested you. No one had to tell you to stop looking at trains, pokemon or whatever your interest was. That childlike fascination and curiosity was enough. But then life happens. We get tested, tried and we experience hardship. Some of our preconceived, naive notions get weeded out; and rightly so. Yet along with that other things get thrown out too, things that should not be. And part of that is your intuition and knowledge of first principles. So, this post is my attempt at articulating what we lost along the way.

What we gained is obvious, we gained experience, wisdom and an understanding of the world as it is not as we imagined. If I can sum up the progression of our understanding of girls it's this here: When you were young, girls were girls; we teased and played with them if we were interested. Then we start understanding sexual things and suddenly want to impress them and lose our way in life and sideline our interest. Women become complicated and life is tiresome. And finally, we arrive at a certain point where we realize girls are girls and you tease and play with them when you are interested. You arrive exactly where you started but now with an understanding.

When we are born no one tells us to explore and figure things out, we just do; we love because we want to. But then we grow up a bit, and feel the need to qualify. We lose ourselves and are often burned by the very person of our affection. We see reality and gender dynamics for what they are. And we get into relationships, no longer naïve. We may not call it love but practicality. We have lost the scales in our eyes and we "love" women for what they are, and not what we want them to be. Again, this is something you knew as a kid. You knew girls were different, that they had cooties and had different wants and likes than boys. What happened was society and your stupid monkey brain complicating things.

Reject the Free Meal and Low Hanging Fruit

In this process of growth, we've left something behind that is the spice of life and the fuel for it. And namely love and its effects. Love is the point at which we return.

Love is the force which propels us toward greatness. Love of virtue, love of art, love of Literature, of Country and life itself. From love springs up all the energy that is used to make life good. But how do we reclaim that energy and spirit we lost along with our naïveté?

We know pain, being burned, simping and getting taken for granted. Everyone has a reason to become nihilistic, and that's easy: Living with experience and scars and not becoming jaded is difficult. How to go through adversity and still smile. How to enjoy, to savor the goodness of life when we've tasted its bitterness? With women it's seeing them for what they are and still loving them anyways. Not simping, not idealizing but just as the creatures they are. Love with understanding. Loving in ignorance is easier. This is not a return to blue pill. And it is a rejection of blackpill.

Do not forget when you first pursued love, how much strength you had, how creative you were. Remember the zeal and determination with which you chased. Did you consider tiredness? Expense? Inconvenience? I remember rising at 2 AM to pick up my beloved at the airport and was glad to do it. When I get into a good book I cannot put it down. Or with friends shooting the shit and drinking till the wee hours of the morning. Taking a road trip with the boys felt like but a moment. You yourself know that love makes the unpleasant, pleasant. It makes burdens lighter.

Cunning as a Serpent, Innocent as a Dove

What I advocate is not easy. How will you navigate reality? With a heart of stone? The man who has hardened himself is defeated; the cynic takes his pessimism for wisdom.

We all go through adversity and have burdens to carry; How you carry them is just as important. Regaining the drive that love gave you makes you more capable and human. We must regain the vigor of youth with the wisdom of an adult. Be an Alpha in practice and a Bunny in spirit.

Respectfully,
