When I first moved to New York City, I met a party promoter who partied with some of the hottest girls in the city. These girls were typical nightclub rats: their entire identity was being hot, and in conversations they made clear they were only interested in extremely high-status men like billionaires and celebrities. At the club, these women would sit at the promoter table, sip their champagne with a bitchy look on their face, play with their phone, and rudely reject any man who approached them, even if they were tall, attractive, and high-status. To a normal observer, these hoes seemed like they were out of everybody’s league.

When you hang out with extremely hot girls for some time, however, you start to see behind the scenes and learn the truth about them. Like most girls, extremely hot girls are insecure, desperate for validation, dorky, weird, and horny. On many occasions, as the night dragged on the girls would become drunker and more open to being approached, and would often go home with guys who were far inferior to the guys who had approached them at the beginning of the night (sometimes they would wait until the afterparty to do this). In fact, the hottest girls often ended up with freaks and weirdos because only freaks and weirdos were crazy enough to approach the hottest, bitchiest girls in the club who were rejecting everybody who approached them.

The point here is not that women never have standards or that any guy can fuck any girl. The point is also not that you should hang around girls who are not interested in you like a bottom feeder hoping they will eventually drop their standards. The point is to illustrate an important truth about human psychology: humans are not attracted to real people: we are attracted to ideals. And because our ideals do not exist in the real world, we must almost always settle for something less than what we really want. The nightclub thots often started the night expecting to be swept off their feet by the perfect billionaire celebrity male model, but ended the night by going home with a chubby, goofy real estate agent. Extremely hot women need love too, and if their knight in shining armor does not arrive they will fall in love with a used car salesman.

More importantly, these women often had a particular ideal in their head that was completely different from what most guys would assume. Sometimes a thot would reject a jacked bodybuilder dude and go home with a nerdy Asian guy who was funny and confident. Another thot would reject a rich guy flashing his money and go home with a weird, artistic guy wearing a silly outfit. The reason for this counterintuitive behavior is that, to those girls, the nerdy Asian guy and the weird artsy guy are closer to their ideal alpha male than the roided up meathead or rich douchebag. Every woman views the world through a different lens and values different things, and you cannot read womens’ minds, which is why you should always go for it, no matter who it is.

It may be disheartening to realize women want ideals rather than real people. It means true love and soulmates do not exist and no woman will ever be completely happy with you and will always be settling to some degree. But there is a silver lining: you are infinitely far from her ideal, but so is every other guy. And the ideal, archetypal alpha male is a complicated, multi-faceted character, so if you suck in one department, you can make up for it in other departments. Even if you are short, ugly, and not the sharpest crayon in the box, you can make up for it by going to the gym, dressing well, and more importantly, having confidence and game. And the most important traits of the archetypal alpha male are his actions, so a confident man who is focused on his mission will easily defeat guys who are taller, smarter, and richer than him.

The fact that women want an ideal is also great news for you because most guys have no idea that women want an ideal. The behavior of most guys is guided by rationality and they expect women to understand they are limited, finite beings with insecurities and weaknesses. Unfortunately, these guys fail because the thing women want is fundamentally irrational and insane, and they want a man who feels like he has no insecurities or weaknesses. But just knowing that women want an insane ideal allows you to adjust your behavior to match this insane ideal, which will put you leaps and bounds in front of other men.

The more I learn game and gain experience with women, the more I realize how few guys have the complete package, so there are very few truly top tier guys who need to compete with. Tall, good-looking, rich guys have a clear advantage over the rest of us losers, and can get their foot in the door more easily, but those guys often blow it because they are insecure, boring, beta, dumb, annoying, ambitious-less, weird, and secretly gay. I have had many, many nights where I stole girls away from guys who were richer, taller, better looking, and even more famous than me simply because those guys could not evoke the right emotions in women. Living in New York City, I have rich, good-looking guys try to AMOG me all the time, but I know that all I need to do is hold frame and wait for them to say something insecure and beta and disqualify themselves. On the other side of the coin, I have lost many women to guys who were clearly inferior to me in every way because I acted beta, needy, insecure, pushy, etc.
