TL/DR: Noticed a person that is elite in my industry walking with exaggerated posture, but it came off as natural. Learned that it exudes much more confidence and makes you more attractive

I am a minor league baseball player, and in our organization the major leaguers and minor leaguers share the same weight room. So you see how established Major League Baseball players work out. Well one guy in particular is an elite player and when I walked pass him I noticed that he was taller than I thought he was.

Watching him I noticed that he has excellent posture. To the point where it almost looks like he is stretching his back as far as he can and trying to be as tall as possible. Naturally, because of this posture, (along with the fact that he is one of the top 10 players at his position) he exudes confidence and comes across as a natural alpha.

Not to be on another grown man's jock but there are definitely tears to me: being a professional athlete, in good shape, modest salary. And a top tier major leaguer that is in better shape, makes over 20 million a year and is married to a super model from his home country. So I am always looking to learn.

So me, half-mocking half-curious started to walk like him when I went home and for the rest of the day. It felt weird to stretch my back out to the point of bordering uncomfortable. But when I saw myself in the mirror it looked natural, I looked confident, and I didn't look like I was trying hard. I've always known that posture mattered. But you can see clear as day how it can make you more attractive if you really nail it down.
