I was also surprised by the civility of the huffpost comments! mind you it's early days yet! I did chuckle at this, for some perspective this response gives the hypocrisy and soap boxing without background research by the articles writer (jezebel or otherwise):

Googling "training a woman" yielded 563 million results. 2 of the top 10 pertained to men training a woman in a relationship, 1 of which was this article. The others were women's strength training, or "dog TRAINING A WOMAN's way," etc.

"Training a man" yielded 708 million results. All 10 of the top 10 were woman training men in relationships.

I don't know why the thought should be that shocking (training a gf). I've heard women talk about "training" their boyfriends and husbands for decades - they say it tongue-in-cheek, but really aren't joking. It's a common part of the "nesting instinct" women have.

It's one of the reasons I don't get into committed relationships much anymore.

But I do tend to use operant and classical conditioning on people in general. Because it works. And I have no idea why people don't pick up on it more often (I've never once been called out on it).

No different than what a parent does to a child. Act out - get spanked. After a few spankings, the kid learns not to act out anymore. It's a normal part of human relationships. But how dare us conniving bastards talk about it in logical terms!!!

Edit: So, yeah, everyone agrees that people should be told when their behaviors are wrong. Somehow it's sociopathy if anyone here says it though. Kinda proof of everything that thread was saying, really.

I totally agree with this list and its about time someone wrote one like it. Women have lists to "train" a man all over the place! Like they are a child, or if you prefer a pet. there is a total double standard when it comes to this sort of tongue in cheek humor.

im actually pleasantly surprised with some of the womens reactions in the comments of the article. A lot of them are pointing out the double standard about how their girly magazines have posted "how to train your men" or "domesticate" them articles for decades.

Huffington Post is one of those ad-revenue-seeking, content-minimal internet sites. They don't actually write anything, just link to existing content, then include a ten-sentence "article" about that linked content that is primarily just direct quotes from that content, and maybe a few direct quotes reworded. On a slow day, if they can't find good content to link, they'll link to a dozen bad pieces of content and call the article "Twelve things you never wanted to know about," with a one-sentence summary of each.

Huffington Post is essentially a book report site. "Writers" there do nothing more than link, quote, and summarize existing content, then maybe add half a dozen words of personal opinion, then go crazy trying to get links to their "article" posted in as many places as possible to generate traffic.

The site should offend people on principle, independent of the views presented on RP. Bestial child gang rape foot fetish porn adds more value to the internet than Huffington Post.
