Does anyone out there have any situation-specific advice/material/information that might change the game a little bit with a 3-year old daughter?

A lot of the information available here is certainly still applicable to me, has worked positively in the past, and works well still. I have covered-up having a child and it worked well, although it felt like a Herculean task; however, I'd rather not hide it or lie about it. It takes up a ton of the brain's vital RAM while doing any active gaming. Furthermore, it knocks my house out of commission, unless I want to hide a crib, clothes, toys, bottles, and every other hint of a child. It'd be nice to use it to my advantage. I am certain it is possible after having a small taste.

The first time this problem really arose, I may have managed to save it: I had a woman show up to my house one night after a date. She saw some baby clothes, then toys, then the crib. I could see the surprise in her eyes. I hadn't mentioned my child once all night. (I love my child, but as a former childless person, it can be a game killer bringing up the kid.) Within moments of seeing the crib, she said something about not being sure if she wanted to help raise a child. Immediately, I told her no one asked her to be a step-mom, I wasn't currently holding interviews, and I wasn't sure if she would even be a good one anyway. Relationship lasted a few more dates until I triggered her (she was a little unstable; red-flag ignored..).

Hiding a tattoo, piercing, or a pimple is easy. Hiding a child is not. I don't want to hide my child.

I know I can't be the only single-father in here.

Edit: For further detail, I didn't initially hide my child. I love her to death. Super proud of her. There were times, however, when I feel like mentioning my child immediately sent some girls running. I am sure confidence plays a large role in this (working on that).

So, at one point, I started experimenting with it. Sometimes I would mention it. Sometimes I wouldn't. Sometimes it wouldn't come up til later. Generally speaking, it seemed that not mentioning it until at least after a date or two was the best scenario.
