Here's an idea of this guy's experience with masculinity, from a Slate article that is not hard to find.

Dude had been dieting since age 10 which led to an eating disorder at age 14. He began a quick-fix diet that he got from his stepmother, who got it from her girlfriend. Disastrous diet, of course. One day, his stepmother caught him shoveling down half a tub of "healthy" sugar-free ice cream and told his father. The father had this to say:

“Son,” he shifted in his seat so he could face me in a more direct way, “Why are you eating that shit? That’s for girls. If you want to lose weight why not just go run or something. Jesus. If you don’t like that belly you got then do something about it. Don’t sit in your room eating ice cream. What the hell does that do? If I was you, especially at your age, I would be ashamed of my body, too. I know I am big now but I could lose this if I wanted to real easy. I just don’t need to.”

Simple, blunt, manly advice, right? Of course he didn't take it. Instead he excused himself, climbed the steps to the toilet, and jammed a finger down his throat. Bulimia continued on until age 16 when his grandmother caught on and confronted him. They gushed, they bonded, he got help. Good for him.

Meanwhile, throughout the whole episode, his father stood in disbelief. According to a HuffPo interview, Stafford said his father "couldn't understand how his son had an eating disorder," and "pretty much called [him] out for probably being gay, for being a sissy..."

Well, turns out dad was right.

And now, manhood must be laid to waste because FUCK YOU DAD.

I love the use of crime stats to show that men are "violent" and always the "aggressor." Women are psychologicaly and emotionally violent. Their heinous acts: baby trapping, false rape accusations, cuckolding, divorce rape, etc simply aren't illegal and in many cases are encouraged by law so of course crime stats show men=bad.

The Guardian is a dying, loss making newspaper. They have started a free online offering targeting the USA and Australia, with luminaries like Jessica Valentin and "Van Baden" writing nonsense on a weekly basis.

The main columnists are Polly Toynbee and Owen Jones, probably the two most out of touch people in the UK. Toynbee is a London-centric champagne socialist who spend most of her time in her Tuscany property (old money wealth) while ranting about equality and women's nonsense. Jones is, basically a gay communist and supports the now insane and thoroughly enelectable Labour party. The party once led by Tony Blair is now led by the Bin Laden, IRA, Hamas loving Jeremy Corbyn, who is desperate to flood the country with Islamists. Jones is no Milo Yiannopoulos, put it that way.

Consequently the Guardian can be and is ignored. The Telegraph is the top selling broadsheet newspaper, and right leaning with respectable business and sports output. The Daily Mail and The Sun cover the slightly higher and even lower brow tabloid reader and are the outright best sellers.

The author is confusing "manhood" with beta behavior that some men exhibit - breaking frame by initiating force against other individuals. Also, he completely ignores the fact that women make up the democratic majority in the U.S. and elect politicians to office who are willing to use government violence to implement policy. Just because women get others to commit violence for them doesn't mean they're somehow less violent than men. Humans are a violent species, period.
