I'm sure he's happy (which is all that matters to him), but I fail to see how he should be a role model for us.

He leads this lifestyle because he had rich parents and now pays hookers to hang around with and/or fuck him, before posting the pics on instagram to give the impression he has this amazing life. If he lead this life, without spending a single penny purely because all these women wanted him, then I would impressed.

To really hammer home the point, Bill Gates could live that lifestyle if he wanted to and as incredible as he is, the way he acts and comes across, is not something to emulate.

He's having fun, and displaying value. That is enough to attract women whether he chooses to spend money on them or not. Here is the exact race in question. You can watch for yourself, if you like.

edit: I'm not saying that every Shelby beats every Ferrari. It's just ridiculous to assume that a modern supercar wins by default. There is no substitute for horsepower to weight ratio.

Cobra: 450+ HP @ 2000 lbs 458: 550+ HP @ 3200 lbs

That's a massive difference. The trade off being that the Ferrari has air conditioning, Bluetooth, cup holders etc. and the Cobra is basically a seat and some wheels bolted to a small block V8.

Nice try but no, enough with the subtle shaming techniques. Of course most guys aren't going to live a life like that, this guys is a paragon of manly-man. But his being over the top doesn't mean that he's somehow unattractive. All women find alpha-as-fuck attractive. Making a case for a unicorn that likes things more toned down doesn't negate this.

He's really more of a parody of a manly man. You're too easily taken in by photos. I've known plenty of men like this over the years, and hyper-masculine men are hardly paragons. They're usually full of raging insecurity and controlled by their appetites, often irrationally so.

Absolutely. The beard, the guns, the fact he pays the girls, it all struck me as slightly buffoonish and contrived rather than truly "Alpha".

This guy isn't masculine, he's hyper-masculine, and the kind of women who are drawn to hyper-masculine men are hyper-feminine -- the most hypergamous, the most vapid and trivial. These are the kinds of girls who worship Kim Kardashian. I prefer women who are feminine in a refined and mature way. And I'm not talking about unicorns. AWALT, sure, but some women are a lot more Like That than others.

Not so sure I agree with this one.

I've noticed the really hyper-feminine girls go for usually intelligent, high-status, relatively beta guys, since they know they can manipulate and control their environment through their man. This guy seems like a dumb brute who just pays party girls for attention.

He's almost cartoon-ish, I'll grant you that. But fiction can still illustrate elements that are attractive. For instance when we see the fiction of women on magazine covers they are clearly not real, but they are hot. Men can't help be attracted to this over this even though one is arguably over the top Hyper-feminine.

more intelligent, thoughtful women are going to see this guy primarily as a manifestation of insatiable appetite and insecurity.

This is the main sentiment that I take issue with. It's a rehashing of sure you can act like a PUA but you'll only get the scummy sort of girls who go for that. RP is based very solidly on the idea that women as a whole group respond positively to alpha traits. Otherwise we'd have a whole section dedicated to "now if you're looking to pick up nice girls, here's how you pick out an engagement ring".

Lastly, I don't subscribe to the notion of 'all people with awesome lives must be sad inside'. He looks confident and happy in all of his images, even the one where he is being arrested. I see nothing that would give women an inkling he's any bit insecure.

In regards to the women he has around, the way i see it is in relation with the anger phase. I can see why someone would loathe those women. This thread helps make the point that a lot of RP authors make frequently: alpha is relative and there is no one man who can be most alpha in every different arena.

Compared to a beta incel who spends all his meager paycheck on dinners bought for the women he's orbiting and then whines about not understanding why they won't fuck him, Dan Bilzerian is alpha as fuck.

Compared to Elon Musk, who already gave the world Paypal, SpaceX, Tesla, and all his other ventures - and who isn't bad looking either? This guy looks like a pathetic trust-fund baby clown.

I probably can't bench what Bilzerian can and my cars aren't as nice, but I got educated, built a business - little private medical clinic - from the ground up that now has 11 employees, and I get Christmas cards and thank you notes regularly from people whom I cured or whose suffering I helped relieve.

Do I stack up against Elon Musk? Hell no. (At least not yet.) But I made something of my life that I wouldn't trade for anything Dan Bilzerian has on tap.

The fact that everyone knows about Dan Bilz's "lifestyle" is evidence that it is not, in fact, a lifestyle and is instead a play for validation and/or compensation.

Personally I don't idolize him, I do wish I had his lifestyle, at least his money. Even if its a "fake" lifestyle I'm sure it is way better that the lives of 99% of the people in here.

What I don't get is the hate people seem to have towards him. Who cares if he didn't earn most of his money, he is not guilty for being born into it. He is doing the best he can from the cards he was dealt, which are pretty damn good cards btw. I'm pretty sure his fame is also going to open a lot more doors for him, not to mention the extra money he could make.

Of course it's fun. It's fun temporarily and I personally would not want to do that every weekend. I'm good with everything you said, except the coke. I prefer to stay sober when I play and I value my health a helluva lot more than those types of people.

I don't think people like that should be idolized. That's what is causing our society to decline. People want to live the care-free lifestyle of the extremely rich and don't want to push themselves to their limit to achieve. Just like this guy didn't achieve it.

I've got no problems with inheritance, but to blow on such meaningless and trivial pursuits just makes me lose respect for those types of people.

EDIT: To say that I would love to have his money is obvious. We all would. I'm happy for him and happy to see he is living life the way he wants. But to say I'm jealous of him? Nah.
