Before you get downvoted to oblivion, I will give you some advice in the friendliest way possible, since from your post it's easy to see that you belong to that age group, and it looks more like a self-reinforcing effort to feel better about yourself than an actual post. I do this, not because I agree with you, but because we are all here for the same reason making us ideological brothers.

As you correctly mentioned, status and SMV are what matters. Consider the following example; a 23 year old athlete at top physical condition and good looks, vs a 35 yold guy who lifts and is also in great shape, makes more than 80k a year, and has 12 years of game experience on top of that guy. If a woman that does not belong in either of the categories you mentioned, has to make a choice based ONLY on looks, then probably yes, the 23 year old athlete will win. If you give the same woman half an hour of talk with both candidates, whom do you think is going to leave a better impression? How are the factors of money, success and experience going to affect each candidates SMV?

I am closer to the 23 year old guy than the 35 year old guy by the way; 27 for a reference. I have witnessed guys in well in their 40s slay like there is no tomorrow. Why? Because they lift and keep in great shape, they make money, and they ooze of confidence and achievement.

At the end of the day my friend, we will all cross the 30s threshold, for time does not turn back. Grow and invest in yourself, and be successful until the end of your life, instead of trying to justify age differences and how they factor into sex. If you do this, you will still have great success with women until you are but a weak old man, rich with both money and experiences.

But let me finish with the take-down. You are assuming that there is only one type of young woman. There is not. There are three.

A. Those that only want a man near their own age, and the thought of a guy more than four years older is “grody" or whatever the kids say. Older guys aren't going to make it work here.

B. Those that prefer a man near their own age, but are open to an older man. Can work but she will eventually be drawn away.

C. Those girls that actively prefer an older lover. They are maybe 20% of the population of young women. This group of young women is HOME.

So of my two primary girls, one is 21F {HB8.5} - she's been with me since she was 19 - and the other one is 22F, {Hard 9}. Last month, I went on dates with a 19 y.o. and a 21 y.o. A buddy [25M] of mine is going to introduce me to a 6' blonde {23F} friend of his because she digs older men, and I also meet the height requirement.

So older guys can do well if they (a) take care of themselves - if you anesthetize yourself with sports and beer and grow an impressive pot belly and let everything slide, it ain't happening, (b) make themselves exceptional in one or more ways, and (c) get out and find girls who are looking for an older guy.

Do not even guess what it's like to be a high SMV male in his 30's and 40's. It's life on easy mode. You don't SEE it much because the types of younger girls that go for older men tend to be discreet for the EXACT reason you mentioned... unenlightened moralistic tools like you judge them. ( I think the word you used was "creepy".) We also tend to go to higher end places that favor class and discretion - you won't see us grinding in the club. Also, the majority of our time is spent at home, fucking. I'm 46 with an n count well over 130 (stopped counting). 22 through 44 years old. You are a very small fish in a very big pond. But your eyesight is so poor you can't see that.

It's like me arguing with an 80 year old about what it's like to be 80. Or a student driver arguing about proper driving technique with a long haul trucker. You simply don't know what you don't know. Frankly ludicrous. There's a reason you can't be president until you turn 35. I had different goals in my 20's. I was working on myself. The women were a byproduct of that drive, not a reason for that drive. Because of that, I'm now extremely comfortable in my life, have "fuck-you" money, and could retire to Belize tomorrow. Put in the hard work first, then you can coast and enjoy life and hobbies. Like women.

I really hope older guys don't take this to heart.

I'm in my late 30s and I date women ages 18-30. That's it. That's my range, nothing over. The average is about 23. I get 100s of matches on Tinder, and go on dates weekly. And, I'm almost always the "cool" one when we go out with her friend group, and I promise you I'm more fun and exciting than virtually any guy in the groups of 20-somethings I hang with.

You may be basing your analysis on your average 30-something, who is likely a low-T, boring, overweight loser who thinks having a stable job makes him a pussy magnet.

And if you think I'm throwing money at these girls, you're wrong. It's coffee, walks, and maybe drinks (which they pay for half the time).

If you are an older guy who has to wave his money to get a younger girl, then basically you're a beta looking for a shortcut that doesn't work.

And, you're assuming here that women think with their logical brains rather than their emotional brains. Women don't necessarily want guys with resources, they want guys who subconsciously project that they have the ability to care for her. Huge difference. A woman who is from a rich family is still going to be attracted to the non-needy, cocky bad boy because his attitude conveys that he has the ability to provide for her; she isn't logically thinking about her family's checkbook versus his when determining attraction.

Yeah, speaking as a man who has been 40 and who has also been 25 (yes I really was once), I can tell you from personal experience that there doesnt need to be any difference in the amount or quality of women you sleep with. As others have mentioned, it's imperative that you live a healthy lifestyle and hit the gym regularly. Up to this point my confidence with women has only increased with age.

As someone who hasn't been a muscular 40 year old yet OP, I'm not sure you can be the expert on the subject yet.

Older guys should have more experience in everything that matters. Eye contact, game, influence, and working toward your own goals that matter to you. These are just a few examples. I'm not a successful old guy.

You are completely correct. "Alpha" for most girls under 22 is the stereotypes they get from Hollywood. "Alpha" for 'normal" girls over that age is husband material from 1st hard experience in their younger years.

See the issue here? The guy past the age of 30, or even 25 if we're talking college campus, would have a tough time breaking into those circles and gaining status there. It would be tough for him to compete with high SMV guys in their teens and 20s, speaking of.....

I, as a 22yr old first year have difficulty relating to kids in my class never mind 25yo's. And I suppose you forgot to include the main takeaways.. and those will apply to older guys who DO NOT want commitment of any type but rather a NSA sex. They are:

1- Hair transplant if you've balded.

2- Dye hair if greys are showing up.

3- Plastic surgery if aging has taken all over you.

4- Revamp your wardrobe, dress younger.

5- Extensive skin care (wrinkles and sun/oxidation damage must disappear you know).

6- Remove ear, nose hair and any other excessive body hair (they tend to giveaway age).

7- Start lifting.

8- Lose that family saloon car, get a lifted crew cab pickup truck with cosmetic accessories.

9- Move out of mama's basement, divorce wife, fuck kids etc.. get a bachelor's or one room unit.

10- Emotional baggage? There are ways to clear some part of your bad memory and I shit you not, you come out free as a baby from that lab. Otherwise, mix tequila, vodka and coke (don't try at home). Memory = Wiped

11- If you can afford, find a doctor that values your anti-aging and masculine interests and start testosterone and growth hormone injections ASAP, that way you'll party WAY harder than those newbies and will look JACKED. Besides, you'll look younger and you won't get hungover.

12- Always but ALWAYS lie down your age (stay within early 20s range)

13- Lose that gaming PC, go out to join the most badass societies and rush frats or anything like that. Sports teams are imperative. Go out there.

14- Quit smoking, being a cynic and keep dental health in check.

15- Act so immature, they must question if you are an adult.

If none of those tips work, I don't know what else will. I myself have applied some and am still applying as much as I could afford it. At least I have no problems having people and professors believe I'm 18.

The older guy theory is not negated in any society. And I keep hearing the "Western Women" argument... All women at the deepest level, the one that controls who they choose and stay with, are the same.

All women gravitate towards men with specific "Alpha" strength qualities. They are Status, Ambition, Confidence, Charisma, Challenge, and Self-Control.

EDIT: And yes, there are physical traits women gravitate towards- Physique, Hygiene, Attire, Health/Vigor. Most men just overestimate those and underestimate the non-physical.

Doesn't matter what society they are in, what race they are, what religion they are, nationality, ALL WOMEN react deep down the same way to the same qualities.

They likely come from families with money, they already have many ways to make money that don't require sex,

My experience has been very different than suggested by the OP.

I was a young athlete, back in Highschool and College. Back in those days, I was able to date younger girls, but the range was limited. For example, when I was 19, I could date 16-19 year old girls, but those over 19 didn't have much interest. It was my observation that girls preferred older guys, and would generally avoid dating guys younger than them.

After college I suffered from looking a little "too young" for a while. I would need to date girls quite a bit younger than me, since if you look 22, for example, a 24 year old woman might feel you're too young for her. It was a fixable problem though, and through Lifting and improving how I dressed, I improved my SMV by making myself appear stronger, more mature, and older. It was bad to look younger than my real age as a man in my 20s.

Currently I'm in my early 30s, and appear to be in my mid 20s if I shave off my beard, and change how I dress a bit. Part of this is because I'm in pretty good physical health, and my skin is in good condition from actually using sunscreen as a kid, and factors like that, and some good genetics with my hair.... Anyway, I prefer to date girls in their mid 20s, so this isn't much of a hindrance to look like I'm of the same age... but if I make myself look older, by growing out my beard and a few adjustments like that, it actually improves my personal chances with girls in their 20s. So, for me at least, if I look 30, it ups my SMV vs if I look 25.

I'm sure guys have varying experiences with this sort of thing, though.

Went away on a bachelor party recently, partied hard multiple days in a row, "played 2 holes" and was 33 under par (one woman was 15 years younger than me the other 18) The golf reference is funny to me. Both women were fun and if it wasn't a vacation I would have taken both out again for a night on the town.
