I lost count of the women I've run across who fell for other women's bullshit of all the great single guys out there.

I have seen exactly ONE get the side thing to marry her. I lost count, but more than ten walked away from their marriage only to find out no one was ever going to marry them. By fifty they have all pretty much gave up on finding another husband.

When they first got divorced all of them had many opportunities to get another decent guy. Every one of them walked around with a stick up their ass and their nose in the air believing they only deserved the best. Instead in the end they ended up with unmarriable scraps or no one.

I still loved him, but I began to feel embarrassed by his blue-collar jobs, annoyed that, despite his intelligence, he didn't have a career.

It occurs to me that most women have no idea about just how many jobs society requires to function. Not everyone can be a doctor or lawyer. To top off the shit sundae, when he joined the force she got all mad that he was working the red-eye shift. It's not exactly a secret the rookie cops often get stuck with that and it's not like most criminals are working 9-5.

I've wondered if this plays into the skilled trade shortage we're always hearing about. Why not just work dumb odd jobs if you don't have a chance of landing a girlfriend/wife? Why not toss the dice and go to college for 10 years if it could give you a career your woman can brag about at brunch?

I began to wish he was more sophisticated and earned more. I felt envious of friends with better-off partners, who were able to support them as they started their families.

Outright saying that she wanted more money and was comparing herself to her friends. These women always come within an inch of becoming self-aware.

One night shortly after his 34th birthday, I phoned to ask his advice about something.

Women are always accusing men of wanting "emotional labor" from them. And then you see shit like this. She wanted him to be a free advice-dispenser/therapist/handyman five years after their breakup.

A woman at our gym did pretty much the same thing. She got married in her late 20’s and a few years later, in her early 30’s, decided she could do “better” even though the dude she was married to was taller than average, good looking and made about $100k/yr. Admittedly she was fit and worked as a personal trainer on the side and was good looking with Mediterranean skin color and facial features. I actually thought the big schnoz was kind of sexy and she had a very nice body. She started the OLD thing and was with a different guy every time you turned around.

Fast forward just a few years and holy shit. Those “interesting” facial features had morphed into something more resembling a Greek grandma and she had started to put on weight. She still carried it well but you could see which direction it was headed.

She never did do any “better”. She will be 40 next month, lives in a crappy duplex and has started to acquire a collection of, you guessed it, cats.

I have seen this article for the third time. This woman is a gigantic red flag from the start.

She wanted a diamond ring for an engagement. That alone is enough indication for you that she doesn't marry for love. She marries for money.

Like all women, a gold digger is still ruled by hypergamy. She always, ALWAYS wants to fuck someone richer than herself. So she divorced her husband the moment she could outearn him - instead of you know, using the surplus money to set up investment funds for the children or pay off the household debts!

She marries for money, and marries for herself instead of for her future children she may have with this man.

And so armed with the Sex And The City Dream, she climbs the career ladder while also daydreaming she would get plowed by Mister Big types. She refuses to marry no one else but a multi-millionaire minimum. Like with her previous marriage, her money is her own money and her husband's money is going to be her own money.

She ages out, realizes that Mister Big types are only going to want casual sex with women beneath them, and then compounded with how premature aging typically sets in for journalist women, she becomes an old, sad hag decrying WAATGM.

I have so many emotions reading this. A lot of men have been hurt by women such as this. And, I got to say, it was a learning experience when I went through it. Hello, I'm a female and although this sub is really harsh and rude, it's eye opening. This one thread encourage me to comment for the first time here.

I've met many "Karens" in real life, women who walk out from loving boyfriend/husband because they believe there are "better things" and "better men" out there, waiting for her, only to realize many years later, they end up alone in their late 30s and 40s. They always tell their story with tearful eyes, warn me to not make the same mistake.

I still remember every single story. How they regret their mistake, how happy their ex BF and ex husband now with their beautiful wife and beautiful kids (they show me FB photos of their ex BF's and ex husband's new families). I remember one day at the office, my coworker who's in her late 30s, can't stop crying from lunch until office hour end, reminiscing on her mistake. Life is hard for them now, with social and family pressure very very harsh. I live in Asia, single/divorced women above 30 is looked down and get nasty treatment from their family and society.
