Sorry for posting this twice; I don't think I did it right the first time (for the mods, the original FDS post was here and I was approved to post here).

What are some examples of good high value dates other than having a meal? I struggle with eating in front of other people, especially those I don’t know well. I don't like the appearance of eating, so I get very self conscious ("do I look or sound gross?" "am I making a mess?" etc.), probably to the point of being visibly anxious. I know this is something I should work on and yes, I am in therapy, but tacking some higher-priority items right now. I don’t plan on dating anytime soon, either, but it would be nice to have some ideas in my back pocket. And if anyone else here has dealt with disordered eating, but not a full blown ED, like this, what have you done?
