Please remember, he did not “start” as a HVM. HVM show themselves through consistency and those first few months are not a good determination, they are a positive neutral at best. You did not lose a HVM, don’t worry. You lost a LVM masking as someone with good qualities that he couldn’t keep up.

It’s hard but you made the right decision. This is his time to shine, to show you his best qualities, and this was the best he could do? Inconsistency and lack of communication? It doesn’t get better, it only gets worse, and you took a step back just in time.

Why are you feeling bad? He was IGNORING you for a month. You even told him you need more and he didnt fix it. You matched his energy. "Nobody puts a baby in the corner" be glad you nexted him, you don't want to beg for anyone's attention. Its not hard to text or meet up for a date, he could have made the time, but he didn't because he doesn't care. His true self came out and he doesn't care about you. Im not trying to be harsh, but this is the truth. You dodged a bullet. You don't want to be down the line 15 years from now crying because he never celebrates your birthday and he forgets your anniversary

It's not at all cold. Women are socialized to be nice and forgiving and "do things the proper way." I promise you that he doesn't care. You didn't need to call him. These things make a difference to women but NOT to men. They don't feel empathy on the same level that women do and they don't think or care about how you ended things with them only 3 months into a relationship/dating. If he's checked out you can't change that.

Men do not have the gonads to breakup with women. A lot of my lvm male relatives and ex make friends always told me that they try to slowly ghost a girl or give excuses about work being busy when they have lost interest in woman. They hope that she will be the one to initiate calling it quits.

It's perfectly normal to feel devastated but you need to deprogram yourself from feeling guilty in these situations. You're human, you care about this man, you have romantic feelings for him. But You saved yourself precious time and resources being lost to someone who not interested. Reverse the situation for a moment. If you were busy with work or going through a hectic period, wouldn't you still find time for someone you really liked? Or wouldn't you at least communicate to them that you're going through a busy period and will not get to talk to them as much as usual for the next 2 to 3 weeks? That sort of communication is not very hard and can be had over a 2 minute phone call. Sis trust me, he's already emotionally and mentally checked out. You did the right thing and will learn to be more comfortable doing it with time and practice. Please block him so he can't make excuses and gaslight you into enabling his shitty behaviour.

The guilt comes from the fact that you care about him. Hurting is part of the healing process. But becareful not to let your hurt get the better of you by contacting him again. Stay no contact. He paraded as HV and his mask fell off after a month. You cannot be begging a man to call, text or be attentive. You communicated what you wanted and nothing changed. You absolutely did the right thing. You're better off with someone who will give you what you want .Virtual hugs

I dated a guy for a month and he did this to me..right after we had sex (convenient!). I was the one who reached out and tried to talk, he was updating his Instagram, traveling, not texting me, or replying vaguely that he's fine. The when he's horny he paid me attention, and we had sex again. Then same thing - ghostm I felt he's not interested or checked out and I moved on, didn't bother telling him. Mind you, he was on his best behavior before that.

He reached out of nowhere 2 months after, chased me like crazy, suddenly interested, overshared his life when I was already seeing another guy. He convinced me to hang out with him as friends. When I met him I've promptly realized he's just fishing for more sex(too touchy, innuendos, comments about my body, about how horny he is,etc) and I was right since after I left he never texted me again. It's because he never cared, just had a mask on. I wish I blocked him right away after he ghosted me.

they have NO EMPATHY when they're horny.Don't feel bad for protecting yourself.

If he was hurt, he'd desperately try to reach you. He doesn't care. Probably relieved you ended things, so he can look like the nice guy (in his head, anyway.)

Take it from me, when they stop engaging it never will pick back up. Cut your “losses” and move on. His not responding is manipulation. He’s trying to get you to react and I feel like even if you don’t like him you wished he tried to win you back.Just don’t, move on sis.
