Bottom line:

I suspect my change in lifestyle is changing my body. Just curious if any of these are common ... or uncommon "see a doctor" level changes.

Background:

I'm five months since my first victim puke, joined a gym shortly thereafter and read the sidebar, started StrongLift 5x5 religiously just two months ago. About 16% BF (down from 22%), 175 pounds (down from 202), squat 170 5x5, OH press 95lb, Deadlift 215. All 5x5, no idea what my PR's are, not much interest in PR's right now. Goal is to OH press a plate on each side, squat two, deadlift three. Un-fed my diet. Lots of protein, now much carbs, some veggies and fruits. Personal areas are much more clean than they were before; I took responsibility for the yard over the summer, increased my social life - next week I want to start working on our apple tree to make it generate fruit this summer.

Marriage and kids are struggling for all kinds of a reasons, but the worst of it was my redpill rambo/anger phase, well documented here. I own/take responsibility for it.

The real reason I want to post is some changes in my body though.

Ch-ch-ch-changes:

  1. I am about a natural 31 inch length leg, which is hard to find. I usually end up with 32's that drag or 30's that are highwaters. When I lost the weight, I found my pants were hanging lower. I got some nice chino's to reward myself, 33 (width)x30 length. They were great.

For a couple of months.

Now I find something is changing around my waist (building upper body?) and the chinos are wearing high - looking like high waters.

Is this normal? I would start shopping for 31/32 waists.

Also, they seem tighter about the middle. Is that normal? I am taking a lot of protein shakes.

  1. I'm waking up with a dry mouth in the middle of the night. I suspect the humidifier in the furnace isn't working, as it broke before - but back then everyone else in the house agreed on and reported dry mouth. Now they are not. I did start to drink a little more water before bed to stay hydrated.

  2. I find I wake up in the middle of the night to pee - long, extended piss sessions, around 4AM and again maybe 6AM. Typically the pee is white or a very light yellow. Every. Single. Night. This is new.

The combination of #2 and #3 seem very strange to me. I suspect the drinking of water at night might have something to do with it, but it happens EVERY night, even if I don't think water. For that matter, it happens when I stay over other places.

  1. I seem to need/want much more sleep than I had in the past. I can easily go to bed at 8PM most nights and wake up with the kiddo at 6:30. Worried about the line between taking care of myself and sloth. This does not seem like a sloth thing. (It could be an escape from a crappy relationship thing tho.)

Bottom line:

I suspect my change in lifestyle is changing my body. Just curious if any of these are common or "see a doctor" level changes.
