Don’t deny you are having the thoughts and feelings ie actively try to suppress them. It reinforces them.

Instead, just mentally acknowledge that they are there, that they aren’t you - they’re just like a mood storm kicked up by the hormones - and that they will go away in a few days even if you don’t do anything about them.

You should also probably avoid situations around people you want your frame for. If the mood storm is going to make you appear weak, indecisive, clingy, then stay away. Do some meditation. Read. Take extra naps. Go shooting. Get some massages.

Keep away from booze - it fuels mood storms.

If you are serious about this, look into a book written in 1960 called Psycho-cybernetics, written Dr. Maltz. You can read, right ?

He talks about the concept of the hidden self image. Basically, long term results are always equal to your self-image. Your self-image is like a thermostat, you can never be more than the picture or mental image that you currently have of yourself.

You can change your self image by doing certain exercises - which basically changes the wiring in your brain. You can become an entirely different person.

You are using steroids trying to overcome your insecurtities and mask all your inner fears. Now that you quit, you feel inadequate and naked. You need to fix your inner self. Not fix the outside. That comes second.

I just gave you gold. It’s up to you to be open minded enough to look into it and actually follow through.

This sounds like an issue caused by some form of imbalance. I get like this under 3 circumstances: 1. When I'm very sleep deprived. 2. When I've had way too much caffeine. 3. When I stop doing physical activity for an extended period of time -- like more than 2 weeks.

No I'm kidding. As someone else said, just let them be whatever they are, while staying productive at daily tasks, and they'll probably chill out by themselves.

This is all in your head and the one of the side effects of injecting yourself with insane amounts of hormones.
