I’m going to speak in generalized terms because I don’t have references for some of the concepts I have read about on this.

I believe as a man, where we can go wrong is when we’re trying to provide a solution to a problem our woman may have. I.e., she comes home bitching about co workers or her job and we try to chime in with how these issues can be fixed ...

“Try saying this to your co worker... why not look for a new job...” etc...

However from what I’ve read and learned, it’s not our job to solve these problems and provide solutions. It’s our job to listen and provide some insight if asked. Let them figure things out and make their own decision as what to do, right?

But where does leading come into play? Assuming you have a woman who can be led and who wants to be led, where is the line in solving her problems vs leading her or leading the family unit on the path to accomplishing our mission?

I’m trying to find a balance with my main plate where she dumps all her issues on my lap. I don’t want to tell her how to handle some of these issues... some are major family issues and some are issues she’s facing as an entrepreneur.

But I also don’t want to sit there like the autist that I am, nodding and saying “oh wow.”

Not sure this is coming across properly, but any reading references would be appreciated.
