So semi-regularly, I have a scenario like this...

  • I'm busy doing something.
  • She asks me a question related to something several hours before or the day before.
  • I ask a follow-up like 'Who' or 'What' are you talking about?

She says something like "Use your noodle. Come on you can remember, earlier today." In the latest instance, I was thinking about my work day and our taxes, so when she brought up something peripheral, I really couldn't remember what the hell she was talking about.

Is this disrespect and shit-testing on her part? What is a good-response when she pulls this? She eventually brings up something about alzheimers running in my side of the family and she wants to make sure I'm aggressively using my brain. I find that a bit revolting. Thoughts? thanks in advance for the s&%t-storm.
