You can't ask and expect an honest answer. What you will do, by asking, is put her on guard so that you never deduce the likely ballpark number. If you know what to look for, then you can solidly place them in the categories of: not a slut, borderline slut, slut, mega slut, OMG a hole.

But to do that, you have to observe their behavior and what they do and do not say and encourage honesty because you aren't judgmental. By just dropping the "hey how many dudes you banged?" bomb then you ruin that.

You can only deduce. My general rule, though, is if a girl is like Fort Knox and never says anything about her past, it's probably bad. Low n girls are proud of it to some extent, they have had to make a decision to keep it low and deny sex for many years.
