You are just about ready for your girl to age out of this shit... I still have so many more years to go on mine. But a word of advise find an attorney that is friends with the judge, when I did that the judge started ordering my ex to cover my legal fees. The amount of heartburn my ex gets every time she has to cough up 10-15k, to pay my attorney when she does stupid shit gives me a warm fuzzy feel at times.

But yeah the whole family law system is fucked, it is a winner take all type of people, not only does one person walk away with the kid they also get money for doing it, if you decoupled those two things I think it would fix a lot of the problems.

Everyone on TRP stresses out about being divorce raped. Yes, of course. But the other side is the legal fees. I know many lawyers and I trust them as far as I can throw them. They’re here to make money.

Lawyers pay a lot to become qualified. Even then, cash flow isn’t consistent. As a result, they have huge financial debts that need to be paid off. They will present problem to tire you mentally, all the while charging you.

This goes for both the guy, who needs to defend his assets, as well as the girl, who is typically emotional and will claw for whatever they can get.

The winner in every case is the lawyers, as they can put food on their table, as well as stay employed.

Definitely an experience when you pay child support and she can use the money to buy clothing for your child or get new curtains and you don't have any say in it. Hell of an experience knowing the more you make the better her lifestyle becomes indirectly from CS payments.

I had literally never even considered or comprehended the massive risks involved in marriage. Even though i was aware of the divorce rate and the fallout tending to favor women. My mom just always pushed us in that direction so much it never occured to me I could choose to opt out. Changed my life when i saw that show

This may be a much more lengthy comment than is useful or needed, but it may provide you with an understanding that you desire - since knowing simply won't change your situation.

Civil courts have modeled the divorce process, making several mistakes.

First, they now view marriage as little more than an economic arrangement. So, if she's cheating on you, or you found out the child is not yours, it doesn't matter; you entered the contract knowing what was to be paid, so now you owe, and she's not responsible for the moral and ethical pain, suffering, or overall destruction of your life. In fact, you are now responsible for both their lives and what's left of yours, in the eyes of the law.

Second, courts have adopted a one-dimensional metric for measuring family decisions that have assured a self-destruction for their purposed goal, which I will explain next. Their one-dimensional metric is "what is in the best interest of the child(ren)".

Third, courts, no matter who initiates a separation process, force families to become legal opponents, no matter their proclivities or predispositions beforehand. What this does is creates a scenario that moral philosophers teach to 101 students as an example for game theory that is supposed to be hypothetical. Courts currently operate utilizing The Prisoner's Dilemma. What this means is that they actively guarantee that "the best outcome for the child(ren)" is IMPOSSIBLE, and flies in the face of their constant claim/lie that what the court is compelled to decide based on what is in the best interest of the child(ren).

Fourth, it is well known and understood by family lawyers that representing a woman is easy mode. Courts still currently operate under a western jurisprudence of benevolent sexism, so the mere claim that abuse happened, is ongoing, or even maybe might, sort of happen, ever forces an "act" or "actions" that support my second point. Women and lawyers (and judges) have a direct financial, social, and in some cases political incentive to do this.

Now, you might notice from how I've worded this that I have some understanding of law or know people in the profession. I can assure you I don't. But, I did get sperm-jacked and dragged through glass and learned everything the hard way. It took me about 5 years after the fact to put any of this together. All the while I wondered why/how is this happening? Well, it's happening because the judicial branch of the US is a wet stain on our federal constitution. These people are actively denying us, in many cases, our verbatim Constitutional rights. They do this because it is both profitable and popular, since the only way it is discovered is to suffer needlessly by this practice of subjugation.

Honestly, I could go on and on, but no one needs that. Best of luck. And if I ever find myself on a jury in your defense, I will nullify a guilty verdict of whatever you were accused, even if you did what you did as a result of the circumstances the court, solely, created.

While this post rings very true with the current state of legal affairs, it is also on you to ensure that you are extremely critical when choosing a life mate. While modern (western) society tell us that we are too picky or judgmental, there is nothing on this planet that you should be more selective with than choosing a life mate.

Maintain the abundance mentality, and understand and accept that with your high standards there is a reality that it will be a long time before you find someone with the qualities (and just as importantly, the lack of qualities) you are looking for.

I’m there too. I listed something somewhere else of a lawyer admitting it’s not about kids, it’s about money.

Don’t get married. I love my children. But I do nit know why I married. It is a mistake and it took years to rebuild.

I saw a documentary about a dude that was accused of raping and murdering a woman. He went to jail 18 years then it turns out that the cops in his town where the ones that framed him. He then reported them and asked for money but the cops managed to frame him again for killing another woman. Yep it has nothing to do with divorce the entire industry itself is crooked.

Recently divorced here. Was married to an attorney and politician. My divorce played out pretty much to the T as what the documentary laid out. Cost me my kids and mid to high 6 figures in legal fees and the settlement.

From my experiences, the divorce process has a higher likelihood to play out like Divorce Corp than not.

Preach it, brother. My ex is college educated and purposefully takes low hourly wage jobs so that I have to keep paying her until my daughter turns 23 (law in my state). I've been paying CS for 11 years now and, when all is said and done, will have paid that B a quarter of a million dollars. Shit is absurd. The upside is that I've become a better man (I think) because of the struggle through injustice and, obviously, I have my wonderful kid.

The ugly truth is we will all deal with unfairness and pain because we live in a world where evil persists. The question is, how are we going to respond? We can choose to walk in virtue and righteousness or we can fold and become bitter pussies. The choice is ours to make and the brilliant part is, the more unjust our circumstances, the greater we will become as individuals if we face them head on.

Imagine marrying a girl who has such low character that she will actually not work, but then also having such an ego that you assume that she is explicitly not working because her life for some reason still revolves around you, then blaming the problem on divorce, instead of manning up and recognizing your past shitty judgement.

This post is a whiny attention seeker stuck in the anger phase who wants re-assurance that he doesn't have responsibilities to properly vet the people in his life (and bed).
