I'm around the average height of young men in my country, and usually wear a branded pair of sandals which add a cool 1 inch to my height.
I've been hanging out with a new girl, and she's kinda tall, 5'8, for women in my country. Recently, when I was out with her, she asked me why do I wear those particular sandals all the time. It was kinda embarrassing, but I brushed it off by saying I like that particular brand and they are kinda cool looking, too. Come to think of it, a beta friend of mine, who's taller than me, asked me the same question. I almost made fun of him by pointing out his own flaws, but let it go at the last minute.
How do you respond to that without being defensive, or offensive too for that matter?
