You've been living like a loser for I assume quite a long time. If you overcome this you will have accept the loss of all those months and years where you did not achieve your potential, not because of your limited abilities, but simply due to your own weakness.

I've known several guys who refused to make something of their lives because they couldn't face the fact they were the only thing, the only reason why they failed in life.

Maybe one day you'll realize that the deadline for applying to school has past. Maybe you need money, but you never ended up getting a job and you don't have any to spare. Maybe you go to a pool party, but you can't impress any of the girls because you didn't exercise. Future you will look back, and they will be pissed at current you.

Make things easy for yourself down the road. Sure, you don't want to do these things, but once you start it's easy to continue. And maybe, just maybe, future you will look back at current you with a smile of thanks, living the dream.

Dude. Get a physical and get your thyroid checked. I went through this too, I was so lethargic and I had no energy to work towards my goals. I went and got a full physical and it turned out my TSH was off the charts bad. I started on a thyroid medication and have tons of energy and feel like a new man. I've gotten more done in the past 3 weeks than I did in the past 3 years.

You're sabotaging yourself from success because you're afraid of who you'll be later. I get it. It's OK. But are you the same guy you were 10 years ago? No, none of us are. We change a little here and there. Each second we live is a new beginning, a new self and we can make it what we wish. You have to trust now your future self will make the right decisions and let it go. Now do what you need to do to get there.

Could potentially be related to depression. Ever considered therapy? That might help shed light on a cause or help you get out of a rut.

Honestly sounds like depression. If you don't like doing the things you used to do, you lack motivation, you sleep a lot, if you become more of a recluse and if you have trouble getting out of bed in the mornings you might have depression. It won't go away by itself. Get placed on some meds and slowly build yourself back up the man you need to be.

Stop jerking off for a few days and see if you feel a difference. For some it makes no difference. But others, like me, will feel a huge increase in energy/drive after a few days or even a week hiatus.

You have to go out and wring what you want out of life. Nothing is going to be handed to you. You're wasting precious time you will never get back.
