Okay so I have been reading TRP for a while now, and have started integrating a lot of the principles into my own life - lifting weights, meditating, being more social, being more dominant with women, not giving a fuck what other people think, improving my fashion sense, being successful in my career (future doctor).

My problem is with my medical studies. We are taught that in order to be a good doctor, you need to be compassionate, empathetic and caring to patients. In the past when I was a 'nice guy', this was completely natural for me. But after swallowing the pill, I am struggling to balance being dominant/alpha/uncaring with people outside of work with being empathetic/compassionate/caring for patients at work. I have started unconsciously responding to patients without much empathy or compassion for their suffering and I seem to be more interested in my own thoughts, feelings and behaviours rather than focusing on the needs and wants of the patient. Is there a way to balance these two conflicting behaviours? (Compassion and dominance) Have I chosen a profession that has trapped me into never developing dominance?

Thanks
