I've been going to the gym for a while now, with the goal of enhancing my physique. The problem is, I'm starting to get quite large but I still have "a lot" of body fat.

My goal is a more athletic look and I'm unsure as to whether I sould keep doing the excerises I do or if I should find something else.

I'm doing calisthenics training, for the most part(I've added benchpress and upperback excersises where I use weights to train these muscles), where you use your own body weight. Calisthenics should help you obtain the optimal ratio between strength and size (I.e a more athletic build).

My question is. Should I keep doing what I do? Will my physique go in the right direction at some point, is this just a "bumb" in the road where it needs help adjusting? Any of you out there with some experience?

TL;DR I do calisthenics(own bodyweight training) but I keep increasing in size. I want an athletic look. Should I continue or try something else? Mabye both?

EDIT: Not suprised that it might be because I eat to much. I will cut back. If you got any suggestions other than those mentioned in the comments already feel free to add them !
