Met Kelly in one of my classes. Total good time to be around. We laugh, we flirt. We are quick to sexual topics. So, I ask her to coffee after class.

She says, "okay!...wait, you serious?"

"Maybe."

"I can't tell. You're so sarcastic."

"Let's go."

We laugh and go to coffee. We had a great time, lots of laughs and flirting. It went well. During our time there, I get a phone call from another girl. Her picture pops up on my phone and Kelly looks right at it. I ignore it. Happenstance preselection, couldn't have timed it better. Shortly after that, I need to head back for my next class, so I cut the date and take her back. I did NOT escalate. I'm not gonna make any excuses about that. Pulled some light kino, but didn't take it very far.

Next time we have class, she shows up looking all made/dressed up. She's not one to use make up often, I prefer that, so this seems like she was trying to make a good impression. I take it as a good sign.

She seemed a little nervous that day and wasn't saying as much as she normally would. She's still responsive and giggly, but seemed a little more on edge. Either way, I was busy with class work, so I didn't engage as much.

Now, a few days later, I'm looking for something to do with my weekend. So I shoot her a text and say, "Free Saturday? Lets get together and do something fun."

She responds with "I'm sorry, I can't. I have a lot to do this weekend."

Did I fuck up or am I just paranoid? Also how should I respond? What should I do to proceed?
