This is a cold reading technique that's been around forever. I'm pretty sure it's mentioned in Strauss's the game.

It's not exactly to qualify someone, it's about making them think you have a deeper connection with them. The point is that the statements are usually so general, yet seemingly based on their responses, that they're easy for the target to agree with you. They usually fit with anyone though, and if you tell someone something "about themselves" - they're most likely going to agree with you, as long as it's not too negative.

I don't really fuck with cold reading games like this, as I'd usually just make a statement about someone that I want them to follow. Lead them and they likely will.

But I know people do have success with this shit.

First of all, this is ripped off directly from the Game, which came out like 10 years ago. Did you guys know that a lot of girls have read the Game? They can read too, y'know! Do you realize how much of a jackass you'd look like if you tried to use a routine from the Game 10 years later??

Secondly, like scenny said, the whole point of this is to form an emotional connection with the person. But you can't form an emotional connection based on routines. I mean, maybe it might work, but what if the girl says "I think games like this are bullshit"? What do you do then? Pull out another routine? To connect with somebody emotionally, you have to figure what matters to THEM. I can see a lot of dumb, pseudo-deep, new-agey girls in LA going for this crap (10 years ago), but what if the girl is into something else? I was on a date with a girl who is really religious so we talked about the Bible. Earlier I went on a date with a girl who is very ambitious about her business so we talked about that. In each case, we connected based on something we both cared about. But if I had been like "imagine a cube in the desert" she could have been like "no."

Of course this shit isn't going to get you laid. It's designed to get your foot in the door, as another tool in your box. Ive been going out hard for ONLY one month and I already have the social intuition to know when to use this, i.e. in low-energy bars between the hours of 10-12:30am.

Furthermore, for those of you who think that this test isn't accurate: it ISN'T!!! You couldn't learn anything about a person within 5 minutes, test or not, even if that person was the most emotionally available person on Earth. It simply isn't enough time. But again, it's designed for you to get your foot in the door so that you CAN spend time with that person and get to know them. Or you can all bitch about how this magic pill didn't work again.

What a load. My ego isn't high, but it's not "buried in the sand", I'm not a quiet or a boisterous person. I'm a bit "transparent" but I don't tend to allow many people to see in to my life, I'm more of a bottler. I do, however try to see into others (not through being nosy, I just love to help others before they help me).

The "ladder" didn't really help with my answers, it gave me answers that I hadn't written down; maybe you can translate it:

Fragile + rotten
Made of wood and rope
30ft long and 2ft wide
Rested at the feet of the cube lying down the dune that the cube was atop of.

The horse, I had a black horse with a white mane that was trotting in a circle going around and around. The answers given in the "game" didn't really answer that for me either.

The flowers, this is where I laughed. I have only ever imagined having 2-3 kids at most. I put down 8 flowers. Bollocks to having 8 kids unless the mother has octuplets. It also didn't give an answer to where I imagined them. The only thing that I could relate to my answer was the colour, I put green tulips, the colour representing health, I guess green would mean healthy. Where's the reference to the type of flower?

The storm or threat... I put it as north of the flowers, moving away and no affect to the other 3 things.

Can anyone maybe decipher this for me? As I seen the answers and couldn't make heads or tails, and the part I did get was not correct.

I have used this as a way to connect with someone, not qualify them. It is interesting to anyone. I disagree with how the ladder is used and flowers. I have done this routine over 30 times and I have described the ladder of your personal goals. high ladder, high goals. easy to climb (ease of achieving these goals), where is the location to the cube (do you goals define you or is it separated from your personality). The flowers are loved ones. Family and friends. Different types/colors or all the same (similar or very different people close to them). where are they (friends define them or seperated from their personality and growth).

My cube was modest-sized, based on comparison to most other cubes I encounter, sat flat on the sand, and was made of a reflective mirror-like metal.

Really man? The cube? I mean don't get me wrong it was one of the best techniques for building rapport in modern day pickup history but its also forgive the cliche "the oldest trick in the book". Its not new and its not meant to qualify its meant for rapport building and in some cases attraction. If you follow the old M3 model it would be best used in A2 or C1. That being said I know I'm going to open myself up for some angry comments but anyone who calls it bullshit either hasn't used it before, doesn't use cold readings in their game, or is a keyboard junkie who doesn't actually sarge, just about anyone from the golden age of pickup (Mystery Method, Double Your Dating, or The Game) will tell you it was a mainstay and finisher move in their game.
