I'm a bourbon drinker, and not many bars around here have bartenders that know how to make an Old Fashioned. So what I'll do is ask for an Old Fashioned, of course assuming that they can't make it. They will ask me if I want them to try, that's where I lean in and tell them to try it out, with a sexy smirk of course. Typically the Old Fashioneds they make suck, so I coach them along on what to do. As I leave, I say something along the lines of "Hey, you seem pretty cool, and you have the potential to make an awesome Old Fashioned. Let me get your number and I'll show you how it's done sometime." I pull out my phone, they put in their number, and as I'm saving it, I look up at them and say "You know I'm going to ask you out, right?" I get a smile and an "Of course!", and I walk out. I have a date tonight with a bartender I did this with the other day. It's worked for me so far, it might work out for you. Best part, the bartenders feel so inept at making the Old Fashioneds for me, that I don't even get charged for it :)
