Since the emergence of "natural game" that took over the incipient PUA community that taught routines, there's been a focus on lifestyle development.

It's a good evolution and has produced a lot more happy, well-rounded Renaissance men who not only have a fun, exciting dating life, but who also express themselves in other, artistic and world-building ways.

But do not be led astray by the thought that a good, exciting life completely replaces skill with women.

You can be a successful artist, entrepreneur, or whatever - and yes, you will probably attract a lot more women than you used to (I see this happen with my life the more I focus on my passions) - but you will still not be good with women.

Fame, status, and skill can bring women into your life and you might even get laid a lot from it, but having the ability to socialize, lead a woman to bed, and most importantly, be able to manage a good relationship, is a completely separate skill from these other facets of a good life.

How do I know this?

I have many clients who are successful people. Financially independent, masters of their field, and have ALL the makings of a guy who is attractive - and they ARE attractive to women - and yet, they still struggle with dating and relationships.

I've also met many guys in the field who are successful, well dressed, ex-sports stars, etc - and they don't do well with women. At least not as well as they could.

The reason is simple.

Attraction =/= success.

Attraction is the opening of the door. Sometimes the attraction is great enough that you can get laid with a simple, "Come home with me," as I've seen with celebrities who came to the clubs I worked at or guys who had status where the girls met the guy at...but it doesn't bring you THROUGH the door (i.e., her pussy or her heart). Not all the time.

So, yes, improve your life - becoming financially independent, get in shape, dress well - these are all fantastically helpful with not only to doing well with women but with being content with life, but you should also spend time analyzing your interactions and learning the ins and outs of dating and relationships.

If you're having attraction problems, focus on external elements like fashion and health.

If you're having problems actually getting laid and doing well with relationships, focus on game. Game can also improve attraction - knowing how to present yourself well. I know guys who don't lead an exciting life in any way, but still have slept with and dating many beautiful women. They focused on the game itself and mastered it.
