I knew a girl that cheated on literally every boyfriend she had. She finally found one that cheated first and she was destroyed, she's still pissed at that man. She thinks what he did is worse.

What do you mean by "acceptable?" Everyone has double standards like this. If I do something to you, it's not so bad. If you do it to me, you're an asshole. This is the fundamental attribution error + many other self-serving biases humans have that culminate in this type of hypocracy. It's not a gender thing. It's a human thing. We all do this to various degrees and then we rationalize it afterwards using some cultural self-serving explanation, making us the victim, and the other person an evil perpetrator. It's not right, but it's human.

The best advice I have ever gotten regarding women is "who cares what they think or what they say". Don't care for it. It's either a lie, bs or carefully drafted drama to manipulate your emotions. Blaming "assholes" for her sadness is a typical female manipulation tactic. If you buy into it and take responsibility for her emotions (she's a grown ass woman and can control her own emotions and be responsible for them), then you are being manipulated.

Double-standards exist, will always exist, they primarily benefit women, and they're never going away, so you better learn to defeat double-standards somehow if you want to win.

The biggest and most important double-standard relating to this sub is where men are expected to pay for dates in full and women are not expected to pay at all. This is an important one to comply to as a man because of the fact that a women paying for your date is one of the most consistently powerful turn-offs to women. Chris Rock even did a famous joke about this fact.

As for her prompt: women can be violent towards their male dates too, so men are more than welcome to ghost in self-defense. I've ghosted women on dates simply because I did not want to hear them whine or deal with their mental breakdown when I rejected them -- it's fine to do.
