Been getting numbers through OkCupid and Tinder but texting always seems like pulling teeth. Any tips?

Don't. Make initial contact, do some very short back and forth, comment on common ground, and make plans. I've never used Tinder, but generally with OKC, I'd message a girl probably three times, get her number on the last message, and then after a quick text to set up the number let it go. Example:

Me: Hey, I saw you like, X, Y, Z! Which one is your favorite?

Her: Blah blah blah doesn't fucking matter

Me: Well, I'm going to do something related to X, Y, Z at such and such date and time. You should come!

Her: Okay!

Me: What's your number?

Done.

If you look at your cellphone, next to the "text" icon, is a picture of an old-fashioned phone handset. If you press THAT button, your phone will set you up with a voice connection that you can use to TALK to a woman.

TALKING to a woman has certain advantages over texting, namely, that you can hear the sound of the other person's voice, speak in real time, and shoot the shit for a few minutes. If you actually TALK to a woman between meeting her online and going on a date, you really improve your chances of that date not flaking.

It probably feels like pulling teeth because you are txting too much. I send 3-5 txts before switching to arrange a meet, anything else and I get bored and find a girl who is more receptive.

As others have said. Text for logistics only. e.g. "Hey what are you up to thursday. Let's meet at XYZ for a drink"

Dating sites aren't good because if you're a man, that woman has gotten 50 messages already before you've sent one. You're putting in a lot of work and not getting a lot of reward.

To her, you're text with a picture attached.

Real life is much better because the fact that you approached a woman is impressive in-itself. You also get to use your body language, touch, and there's no lag time between the words.

To her, you're a person with a voice and 3 dimensions. Hope this makes sense.

I usually send a text indicating how fun I am by being as absurd as possible, and try to set up a meeting from that.

Actually, for OKC game you're alright building comfort with a few extra texts here and there. You won't, however, be building ATTRACTION. A couple of flirty and funny texts is never a harmful thing, but do not assume there is anything else besides comfort and rapport building there.

Girls get nervous meeting guys online, they may feel it's lame for them to do so, they may take it as more of a joke thing with their friends (so many girls online set up their profiles together, and they DO laugh at all the lame shit they get sent) so when they meet you, they aren't expecting much at all.

A couple of texts here and there when you get their number is a good thing, but make sure you're proactive about setting up a meet in person.

I always try to set up a meet in person for that same week, and then I try to text them once or twice a day with some entertaining stuff and keep a small dialogue going. It works very well.
