Somewhat related and wondering if you could help. So what's the difference verbally in flirting and casual? And how do you escalate beyond just talking? I talked to this girl at a party last weekend and she was uncomfortably close, like within a foot, making eye contact majority of the time. But our conversation seemed very casual, just basic small talk about work, school, the party. I got pretty positive body language from her but I didn't know where to take it.

This kind of helped me. There's this cute girl at my work and that i've been eyeing but every time I'm around her, the body language is super stiff and she avoids eye contact. So I'll just leave it be.

Ugh, back then, there was this girl I found super attractive. I was super stupid about understanding what flirting or flirty behavior was. Looking back now, she was acting super flirty around me, but when I accidentally came off as disinterested one time, I saw how she completely stopped being flirty around me. She worked at a local coffee shop. She used to always make eye contact, give a look, say something when I cam to pick up my drink. Then one time without going into detail of words used, she pretty much opened up an in for me to ask her out. I didnt see this and didnt take that chance because I had no sense for flirting, hadnt most of my life to that point.

Things like that, I never understood or picked up on. Looking back at a lot of things in my life, there were so many obvious signs or potential signs from people I have met. One way I found to know when someone was interested in me and flirty is when they stop. What I thought was just friendly behavior was them showing interest, and then it is mostly to late.

All you can do now is learn and prepare for future chances. There always will be more chances, you just have to be prepared now before those chances come. That applies to more things than just the topic of this subreddit.

Sometimes you can even meet women that'll exhibit all 7 behaviors. Life's crazy. You don't have to sleep with every woman to enjoy every interaction with them. Flirting with married women feels just as good as flirting with single women. You just shouldn't be so starved for affection that you need to sleep with every woman to prove something to yourself. Every woman is willing to go so far with you and sometimes it's flirting, sometimes kissing, sometimes fucking, and sometimes marriage lol

No eye contact may not necessarily be a sign of disinterest, especially when it comes to more introverted/shy girls.

I'm not saying it's ethical, if a woman told me she was married and I didn't have reason not to believe her I would just back off.... BUT.... this is a shit test. A classic one.

Getting a shit test is the OPPOSITE of the time to stop flirting. A shit test is basically a woman thinking "I want to sleep with this guy but I shouldn't want to sleep with this guy" so she uses passive aggressive statements, comments, questions, etc. It's mainly a way for her to emotionally distance herself from you, but it has the benefit of being an opportunity to show your value. Basically, it's a chess match and she's retreating while making random swipes at your king. You can give up even though you clearly have the upper hand, or you can finish the game the way you should.

Don't believe me? If she wasn't interested she'd walk away unless you're like cornering this girl or something. If she clearly has the ability to leave but isn't it means she doesn't want to leave. Trust me, when a girl actually doesn't want to talk/flirt, she really fucking won't. She won't give you excuses, she'll just not give you the time of day. If she's speaking to you in full sentences, she's still interested. Doesn't matter what those full sentences contain. Guarantee it.

Think of those kiosk salespeople at the mall. You see it, it's something you know you're not interested in. The salesperson is approaching you. What do you do? Head down, say as little as possible, keep walking. But, it's something you are interested in? Well, whether or not you can afford it, you're looking at it, looking at the pictures, maybe casually glancing at the salesperson sort of hoping they "sell" you on it even though you already know you want it you just don't want to buy it. The same thing goes for women. If she doesn't want to buy what you're selling, she won't be caught dead talking to you.

TLDR: if someone is visibly interested, then they are interested. If someone is visibly disinterested, then they aren't interested

I'm not sure about the eye contact part since I'm a girl and I really love eye contacts but I ain't flirting at all. So I don't think that eye contact is a sign or a thing.
