I read an earlier link about "Flipping the fatty".

Do this:

When her ugly friend appears, show that you are more interested in her. Hit on her a bit. Ignore your target for a bit. If the UG is receptive (most likely she will be.. she doesn't get hit on very often), offer to go buy drinks for both of them.

When you are away getting drinks, the UG will most likely talk to her friend and validate you. When you get back, you can go back to ignoring her and talking to the original girl. If UG starts cockblocking you, then your target will know that UG is just being jealous.

My friend ran into this scenario and proceeded to f-close. He was hitting on a girl one night, a combination of talking, dancing, kino etc. Then this girl's friend interjects and will NOT leave my friend and this girl alone together. She's being your typical cock-blocking cunt bag and always steering the conversation away from anything that will ever get my friend a successful night. They started walking away from the party toward a friend's house, and my bro pulled the cock-block aside and called her out. He said something along the lines of, "You need to let your friend make her own decisions and I'm tired of you getting into something that isn't your business." Keep in mind the chick is saying this as if she's going to dismiss you. Sometimes in these situations in the past if you persist and continue to try to talk to the target the Ug will resort to saying, "So can you please leave now."

Or even, "I've tried to be polite so can you just leave." As if her saying that covers up the fact that she was being rude to you. ;)

The only time this happened to me was with 2 girls walking back from the bathroom to their table, I was talking to 1 and the other kept trying to flag her down to get her to go with her.

Eventually the one I was talking to just waved her friend away. I didn't have any preset counter or in any way prepared if her friend put up more resistance. I guess the biggest thing is don't make yourself out to be a dick if they do. Just let her know that she can go catch up with her friends and come back and talk more when she is done.

I would let them leave. I'd say "Oh I wouldn't want to interfere with your ladies night" then tell the girl I was talking to take care (go for a hug if we were vibing). If the friend hesitates somehow to try to keep me there then I'd probably say "Hey, give me your number and we'll do something soon". If the friend doesn't hesitate to keep me there then I go elsewhere and gauge her interest the rest of the night for any opening to re-engage. I would also be kind and say good bye to her friend (introduce myself before I leave) because my experience being sweet is the strongest potion against unnecessary bitchiness and she'll be a lot less likely to cockblock if I approach them later

I wonder if women are cognizant of how often their friends cockblock them from potentially great men simply based on their judgment call. Its one of those social dynamics with girls that I don't get. I mean I get the merit when you're getting unwanted male attention but what benefit can come from a friend that cockblocks out of pure envy?

I tell them that they seem like they could be an interesting person, but there is no chance I am going to find out tonight with your friends leaving and my friends staying. Lets grab hot chocolate sometime, so I can learn more about you (we can learn more about each other, calibrated depending on the preface). I then whip out my phone and swap numbers. about 50/50 reply rate, day 2's with about 25%.

I can usually build enough attraction in the first couple minutes with strong body language, eye contact, and funny teasing conversation. The way I rephrased the scenario is very 'us vs. the world' which I have noticed is very romantic for women.
