Not sure I agree. I’ve had many women say how they’ve been turned off from a guy because he was bringing too much competition.

As far as the flip side goes, where men lose interest if there are other men chasing her, I think this is just reframed jealousy and a self inflicted shut down of their attraction since they (the guy) feels like he hasn’t got a chance.

When I read Michael Marks first book The Dating Wizard, his point on jealousy blew my mind.

Jealousy has nothing to do with her and little to do with the other guys. It has everything to do with your own sense of value to her. You see her attention to the other guys is her social proofing those guys as having value. The fact that she is focused on them and not you makes you feel like your value is less than them. That’s jealousy. Your feeling the contrast in perceived value based on her social proofing and you feel shit. So you shut down your attraction.

Think about it like this: imagine if you knew that you were totally the no.1 catch and that she was crazy about you. Then you see her talking with a guy that is clearly, by all objective standards a total loser. I’m talking like the dweebiest of dweebs. You’d laugh at the idea of her having interest in him. The irony is that when a woman sees that you are unphased in her attention to other men, that tells her that you’re so confident in yourself that it actually allures her.

This is where so many guys fuck up when they get jealous or if the woman is playing stupid jealousy games.

This feels more suitable for someone who just wants to stroke their own ego, rather than find a relationship with a suitable partner.

If I wanted a girl to feel jealous about me receiving texts/calls from other girls, that is not a girl I value/respect. Therefore, not a girl I'm going to stay with.

Try finding someone who you don't want to manipulate.

Try experiencing what it's like to have someone who values you for who you are, not who they perceive you to be.

Make yourself into a person of value, you won't need these sad manipulation tactics.

Yeah….this kind of toxic bs will create horrible relationships. Healthy people are not attracted to this, and will walk away. The only people you will keep with this nonsense are people with self confidence issues who think they can’t do better. Also, intentionally fostering jealousy in your partner is so they ‘come right’ is manipulative and abusive.

I half agree. It’s about balance. You want a girl to feel lucky to have you, but I’ve been in a position where too much of this makes them freak out and think you’re gonna fuck them over.

This is absolutely true but don’t expect it to go down well on reddit. The only times in my life I’ve ever been walked over by women, disrespected, not appreciated, cheated on are when I’ve committed 100% to them. It’s a massive turn off when your woman knows she’s your only option. I’ll never make this mistake again as long as I live.

Well, yes and no. This is indeed a good advice if your just into casual no strings attached fwb short flings with girls not older than lets say 28. And if you're into that thats cool (me too). But if you find a real one, that has a bit more brains than an African bullfrog and you want to have something serious with, you can't really serve her this type of shit and expect her to eat it. And I've read some of the comments judging you for doing this, white knighting and saying that you're being a piece of shit for playing this game. But those same dudes somehow forget that we have a FUCKING SCIENCE-LIKE SUBREDDIT FOR SEDUCTION OF WOMEN. This is the truth, but not enough men on this sub are successful with women to realize it.

If you’ve ever picked up a woman at a crowded bar, and she’s clearly interested in you, suddenly so is just about every other single woman. Your value skyrockets instantly. You’ve been socially, and even better, sexually validated.

It’s annoying that this is the truth. But I wouldn’t say you have to actively encourage jealously or competition. Most women that like you will conjure it up regardless and assume other women are messaging you, pursuing you, flirting with you etc. because they assume all women see you like THEY do—your value.

So if women generally like you, other women will notice. You don’t need to fake it but grow into it.
