Oh man, this happened to me too. But it happened cuz this was the most beautiful girl i dated and was scared to pull the trigger. Basically she thought u are weak cuz manly guys go for it, it's a testosterone thing, so when u didn't go for it 1. it made her feel she is not worth it, pretty enough etc and 2. you maybe are not the man she was waiting for, decisive, bold etc.

I feel for you, you got a lot of hints to do it and you chickened out, so she's gonna find someone new. Not sure if there is anyway to recover, best move on and find someone else.

Also the plans were made on the assumption you guys would at least kiss that night.

There's no reason to care if she's into you or not.
Why couldn't you set the date to your house? Was the bar near your house?
Why couldn't you pull in 4 hours??
How did 4 hours go by with alcohol flowing and you seem to have not escalated at all or started making out or doing anything? Just hug at the end?

Moving forward, just try to set another date (asap - message her in the morning, do not let days go by as other suggest because the lead will go cold in less than a week), this time at your house, and before she comes over, look up the most basic information on how to physically escalate.

In my opinion, either she lost interest and couldn't tell you in the date (women do this because they fear men's reaction, which is understandable to be honest) or she's just testing you to see if you try to chase her. If you chase you fail the test xD. So my advice would be don't overtext. You texted once, wait for her reply, if she's interested she will text you back. And don't overthink it, if she's not interested its not the end of the world

When she said those things to you, how did you respond? It seems like she sent out a lot of signals and maybe didn’t get the positive vibes back?

When she suggested a second date then spin on the story and add the details as in where when and how. Like we should walk the cat (weird but ok) so ask where you should take the walk, check the weather or whatever that builds on it. Then it goes from her idea to your plan/fantasy.

Look, obviously everyone wants a nice long goodbye to remind them that the other person doesn't really want to leave your company, but..... good byes on first dates can be super weird and awkward. I wouldn't read too much into, she may have been asleep when you texted, just follow up in a day or two.
