Having a hard time maintaining a long eye contact. Afraid of being the creepy one in the crowd. How do you improve your eye contact skills?

I found that when I have chemistry with someone, meaning I am genuinely attracted to her; and the attraction is mutual - - the eye contact is easier. Meaning I don't need to try.

Having said that, one way to get good at it is practice. Practice it every day not just with girls. But with everyone you interact with.

Let's say you go to Starbucks, and make an order. Look at the batista's eyes, smile and say "thank you".. Be genuine about it.

Do this at your gym, where you shop, anywhere. Overtime good eye contact becomes a part of who you are.

I remember when I first went to clubs I'd be scanning the whole time, looking for girls, looking for IoIs etc. Girls would make eye contact with me and I'd notice and then immediately look away and continue looking all around in every direction. In the end I probably looked completely lost and/or high lol.

Here's what I do now. Breathe, relax, slow it down. I'll do a calm and slow scan of the environment. When a girl makes eye contact with me, I'll hold it for a few seconds. I'll then look either to my right or left to break eye contact (never look down, it shows shyness or submissiveness). I'll then look back at her and approach.

I don't make any prolonged eye contact from a distance. Main reason is I've been going to this club lately with a terrible ratio and it's full of guys gaming, wait any longer than necessary and another guy will be tapping her on the shoulder and distracting her whilst you're still across the other side of the dancefloor trying to make seductive eye contact lmao. Got to move fast.

So yeah, I'll make that initial eye contact, I'll make sure I'm the one to look away first, I'll look back at ther and then I'll go in and approach.

-"Girl in the blue dress, I couldn't help but notice you" blah blah blah.

Long eye contact before you initiate a conversation is sure way to creep a girl out and make them uncomfortable.

Eye contact is something you have to do when you are already talking with her, not before you even start the conversation.

Just practice. Firstly don't run away with your glance. Maintain contact for 1 second. Then 2 seconds. Then always be the last to break eye contact. Then make an eye contact and smile. Then make an eye contact, smile, and come closer to her. Then make an eye contact, smile and approach.

How I did: everywhere I went, as soon as some random stranger looked at me, I looked into their eyes for 3 sec or until they look away. But you will still look like a wimp since ur not comfortable, so the next step is to do this + mind your breathing. Make sure that you do take a few breaths during the time you hold eye contact.

It's not about eye contact. You have deeper issues that you need need to resolve. Do you feel inadequate in some way? Your feeling of inadequacy will come out in many forms, body language, speech etc.

A good example of this is you considering yourself creepy by maintaining eye contact in the crowd.

You’re right to be afraid of being creepy. Long eye contact is creepy. Normal and natural eye contact of the right kind works and the better you look the better it works. Having a really hot face makes girls want you bad. They have this automatic reaction and you know they’re yours

When you talk to a friend you will look into their eyes without "trying to focus to maintain eye contact". You must be the same when talking to a girl, be normal... if you are looking too much (to intense) you look weird.. if you don't look at her it looks like you don't pay attention.

It is a normal conversation, don't try to do a certain thing because it doesn't look right.

Just imagine that in case you look too much in her eyes, she might have the feeling like something is wrong with her, maybe her fake eyelashes is falling down, maybe her makeup is not equal and she looks weird, or maybe she has something on her forehead ... you don't want to make her feel uncomfortable.

This is one of the things I’m actually good at. Literally just look at them long enough where they don’t feel the need to say something to you. When you look away, do so because that’s when you wanted to look away. I legit had the hottest girl in the club come up to me from behind by surprise and tap me on the shoulder. She had the BIGGEST smile on her face. Honestly, I wasn’t prepared for that and stuttered and fucked it up. But I was putting the pieces together. Another time I was buying a birthday card at target. I COULD NOT take my eyes off the woman that was also looking at cards. I had a wife, I did not say anything. I wouldn’t. But I just couldn’t help but look. Anyway, we got to the party(my wife and I) and that woman is there. We were introduced and had big smiles for each other. Everyone was confused. It’s because we eye fucked each other in target just half an hour earlier lol. We did not talk at all in that party and it wasn’t even awkward. It just felt like a mutual compliment and we respected each other’s situation (she was also with someone). It was very much not a big deal. Just do it because you find them beautiful and don’t be afraid and don’t stare long enough where they feel prompted to say something(that would be creepy). I am not a “get as many women in bed as you can” type of guy so depending what you want, take my advice for what it is. I think that it’s always best to be your authentic self as much as you can. There is so much in ourselves that gets expressed when we are our natural self. A woman will appreciate being appreciated. Spirit recognizes spirit.

My best advice is practice. One thing I do is if I'm walking around somewhere public and I come across someone, I lock eyes with them and try to keep it as long as possible. It's just a few seconds longer if you're walking past. Also, ordering food or meeting strangers. If you break contact first, try and look up or to the side.

Smile/greeting helps break some of the intensity if the other person might feel intimidated. If you look across the room and lock eyes, make a funny face or something haha (I usually don't make the funny face, but you can put it in your toolbox).

That's my playbook tbh.
