Lot of over complication going on here.

If you invite a girl out, pay for the first date out. Don’t argue or worry about money. As such you should be smart what your first dates entail. For me it’s a low key bar hop to 2-3 places. Vibe well at first place, move to second place, as things are escalating physically an emotionally usually by place 2 or 3 we’ve already kissed. If vibe is off, easy to end date at first spot. If vibe is on, then she’s just come with you to 3 places and had a great time. Other thing is, you should be able to tell before you even meet how potentially “on” it is between you two

Occasionally you need to go two dates to hook up but usually it can happen first date (mostly because everywhere she’s gone w you has been a better and better experience so far)

I don’t do dinner stuff unless we’ve hooked up. Mostly because I don’t go out to dinners for even myself. At most it’s let’s split a bottle of wine together.

We all learn from mistakes, especially about money. One time I was at a bar/club and was chatting up this one go who was really interested in me when her friend (probably purposely) bumped into me and spilled her drink. I ended up buying her and her friends new drinks, cost me 50 bucks. First and last time ever doing that

I also went and spent like $80 on a drinks first date where we each had like 4 drinks, only to get ghosted after making out a bit. I'm now much more of a "come over for wine" or "we'll meet up and have one drink" kind of person.

As long as you learn from mistakes like this, there's no need to beat yourself up over it

I’ll never understand this problem. Every time I go out with a girl they insist to pay for me or we split it.

I have never had a problem with being taken advantage of. Only time I pay is if I invite them somewhere that only I like (such as going to an Airshow). Then I’ll invite them and say don’t worry, I’ll pay.

I don’t think I’m some Channing Tatum looking dude either. I think some of you just chase the wrong women

I do ice cream as a first date. Low pressure, relatively inexpensive, easy to venue swap out of or even straight back to your place. Not to mention the sugar/Lipid high they get will be associated with you from now on.

Well said. Be it known many women just like to have free meals and be showered with attention for a short amount of time then have ZERO interest in you. The BEST women by the way won't accept dinner or brunch dates because they are generally good people and want to get to know you. Keep the first date or dates simple and inexpensive and you will weed out the diamonds among the weeds.

Pro tip: You can get the same psychological effect buying dinner originally stemmed from by grabbing sodas or coffees but while you're at it grab some sort of pieced out finger food ( fries, cinnamon bites, something like that) for just yourself, then offer her some.

I would never do dinner dates for first dates. Not because of the money, but because they are horrible for seduction. There's not enough opportunity for relaxation, to build comfort and kino, etc.

As you mentioned, physical activity is best. You may end up spending some money - but obviously don't go overboard!
