Bold of you to assume since I have standards I have options xD
[–]HughBeaumont500 128 points129 points130 points 4 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link
I don't doubt any of this ... But damn... All this shit.
Can't do that - shouldn't do this - never like that - but yes to this... All this psychological postering and cat & mouse. Can't compliment too soon but don't wait too long and... ugh.
It's discouraging we (men) just can't be honest. Hi, I think you look really pretty. Mind if I talk with you?
Gotta' jump through all these damn hoops. Can't just roll up and be honest. Gotta' gameplan and strategize of even when to compliment a girl.
TF is wrong with these people? Lol
[–][deleted] 41 points42 points43 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
This. A lot of people have told me to not say this but I don’t care: women and men are very different (especially mentally). This is just biology. I’m not saying one is less than the other I’m saying they’re different. I wish I could just speak my mind and not have to carefully craft my thoughts and words so that the girl I like won’t lose interest or get creeped out. All that is what fuels my social anxiety and really makes it hard to socialize with women.

100% disagree. The truth is that women and men have very SLIGHT differences in biological circumstances and society/culture EXAGGERATES and FLANDERIZES those differences because humans like to natural form groups from a *minuscule* yet obvious physical similarity. That's why race categorizing in history exist along many other stuff. The moment you actually try to fill the shoes of a woman with the different raising/brainwashing/circumstances, besides the physical differences you would honestly be hardly any different. The whole women stay behind to take care of the children while men go and take out the predators is only true at face value AT BEST. In reality, science has shown that the roles of men and women are quite gender fluid, it's just if a person was slightly better than at this naturally (or train/dieted to be) then they were selected more for it. Really think of it like if people were either 5 feet or 6 feet (with rare mutations on both ends), the honest truth is they are HARDLY different yet thousands of years of culture with have us split the two into seeming like two different species as much as possible almost.

Interesting hypothesis.
How do you explain highly gender-egalitarian countries having much higher rates of gender segregation in profession choice, since it should be the opposite given your worldview?

How do you explain highly gender-egalitarian countries having much higher rates of gender segregation in profession choice
TBH that in itself is seems plainly contradictory to me, so IF my hypothesis is right, THEN there may be an external factor going on that we are not seeing. Will report if can.
[–]im_a_teapot_dude 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
so there must be an external factor going on that we are not seeing. Also are they egalitarian by law or culture (or both) in these countries,
Well, you can look at the research yourself, but given that you jumped to “there must be an external factor”, I guess you’re unwilling to consider the possibility you might be wrong.
[–]KingAJ032304 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not exactly what I meant to give out, so I'll edit it.. Anyways I shall look into the research myself with a couple countries and if I'm wrong, I will add that in great detail!
[–]RexTheOnion -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I know where you got this talking point from, look into it further, the study JP is quoting is highly highly controversial and he extrapolates it out even further .

5 feet is the the same distance as 2.21 replica Bilbo from The Lord of the Rings' Sting Swords.

Fair point. I definitely agree that society exaggerates these differences. It sucks but it is hard to change society quickly, it usually takes multiple generations to fully do so.
[–]infinexis 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
If you take a look at other species, often in their mating rituals males will have elaborate displays or dances providing evidence to the opposite sex that they have high quality genes, superior ability to survive etc. The specimens that can do this successfully mate.. the ones that can't don't. Nature does not care about you, you either survive, adapt, reproduce.. or you don't. We make the mistake of thinking that we aren't animals, but we are no different. We have our own little dances and behaviors to do, and if we fail at them we get eliminated from the gene pool just like any other animal.
I'm not arguing against your point. Yes indeed I agree 100% that it is bullshit, but at the end of the day we are still animals. We need to find and use ways to convey 'sexyness' to the animal instincts of the opposite sex even if our logic tells us none of this makes sense.
If you already had these traits and instincts innately then you probably wouldn't be here.. instead you would be picking which girls from the rotation to spend your time with.
This is why we share knowledge to try and learn this 'game', improvise and adapt. The alternative is a cold and lonely bed.
[–]tryingmybestatm 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
honestly man i'd kill for a dance mating ritual rather than this mind fuck
[–]Eros-69 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This! And agreed! If you're honest and up front you don't need all that bs imo Lmao
[–]TheSunshineMan 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
It's discouraging we (men) just can't be honest. Hi, I think you look really pretty. Mind if I talk with you? You still can in many countries.. but the USA or other Western countries, that time has past.

Tell which country so I can get my doulingo and Rosetta Stone going to learn the language and get over there (wherever that is)
[–]TheSunshineMan 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Mostly anywhere outside the USA/Canada/Western Europe.
General statement..
[–]HughBeaumont500 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Australia? *Because then I don't need to learn a language
[–]TheSunshineMan 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Nope.. it's a Western country.
[–]HughBeaumont500 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Mother Russia?
[–]TheSunshineMan 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yes it's more traditional.
[–]HughBeaumont500 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well... It's a difficult language to learn.
Maybe I can meet some cool Russians here in the States and take that route.
Thanks for the advice pal

You are 100% correct and people will automatically disagree with you, it's obnoxious to have to jump through hoops like this.
Unfortunately people think they're so much better then a nice hello or hi or a small compliment.
It's the way of the world I guess
[–]SnooOranges8194 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup. We have put the female population on the pedestal. It sucks lol
[–]GuaranteeOwn5108 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I compliment right off the bat. I want her to know what my intentions are… i’m not a nice guy just having a chat. I completely disagree with rule one.
[–]JacobMoogberg69 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agree with all of this, but if you are a guy who can approach from a position of power you can display from the very beginning that you are the one choosing her and you can compliment on what you like. But not every guy can pull that off.

Hot-construction-811 and Original Post + ur unique spin on it and ur golden! Idk why people are hating! U honestly prob need this advice more than anyone... Js U gotta realize tho we(women) have to be cautious af. Someone who comes up instantly complimenting def sends red flag Same as someone who is really touchy or trying to be super close. There's a good chance that u already had a min to read her before saying hi. Give her a min to check u out too. Sadly all the nasty perv's have made it more difficult. One of the nicest- normal seeming guys I knew totally changed once I gave him a chance. Legit wouldn't leave my house type of crap! Makes u look at people/ situations a lot differently
Oh and BTW our minds suck. I'm 32 and still trying to figure mine out lmao The OP is just trying to help
[–]boutdabtime 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I just gotta say, the men who think that this is useless information, are.probably the same guys who get mad at women who don't say hi back on dating sites.
This has some decent points, especially having standards part.

Be the employer, not the employee. Vet her to get a sense of who she is.
If she doesn't make the cut, find one who does.
[–]Hot-Construction-811 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is what Ive found about dating and my current gf is full of mind games. I'd say game on...let's play ball.
[–]TheSunshineMan 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
1. Complimenting her shouldn’t be the first thing you do when you meet her. Many women may see this as a red flag The fact that you already approached her and sparked up a conversation is enough for her to know that you find her attractive.
I cringe every time I see a daygame thread where the guy leads with a compliment..
These guys watch way too much of these RSD and other PUA on YouTube that don't have a clue how to do daygame the right way.
No wonder why there's so many guys that fail with daygame..
"I just wanted to come up and say how beautiful you are"
it's already GAME OVER
[–]gbr_23 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Well you can't walk over and say Hi either because that too "simple" 🙄
[–]TheSunshineMan 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
"Hi" as your opener is 100x better than telling a girl she's pretty or beautiful..
[–]RaideNGoDxD 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
So what would your ideal opening consist of? "Hi, .......?"
Something related to something is how I would initiate. For instance today, I passed a girl on floor three in elevator and smiled at her as I went on the stairs next to it. I’m not bitching out taking an elevator with a lady full of luggage like she had, especially on my way to the gym. When I got down the elevator opened I said “omg you really stalked me for 3 different floors?!” She loved it. Another example of a compliment that is earned is I came into the gym and did an entire cardio workout of 30 min on a bike and this girl (only other person in there at that time) was going ham doing all kinds of exercises. When I was wiping down machine and about to leave I said “have a good workout “ she responded “thank you” and I said “your a beast, you’ve been tearing it up the whole time!” And she blushed and smiled. Notice I didn’t walk in and compliment her on something stupid like “good technique or looks” which would have been both disingenuous and cheesy. I left after that but the first impression was there and chances are I’ll see her again since it’s my neighborhood gym.

Sorry not to be a copout but I don't give out my exact lines on a public forum with 1+ million readers for everyone else to steal and then lose their effectiveness.
Lines that I've perfected over the past 13+ years, many thousands of approaches, and many hundreds of lays from just daygame.

Actually none of this matters. Never take advice from a 21 year old girl about seduction. If you want to seduce her, be of higher status than her, better looking, better dressed, wittier, or more interesting. Her advice amounts to: have other options because you are better than her and not desperate.
